After establishing G-Unit Studios, 50 Cent quickly refuted the claims of some media outlets that had suggested he was "at odds" with the American actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry. On June 17, the rapper stated on his Instagram that he does not view Perry as a rival.
He shared a news by The Root on Instagram that said-
“50 Cent Gearing Up To Be A Tyler Perry Rival?”
Sharing the same piece of news, he replied with a caption-
“Yes…. I’m doing great but you’re getting it f*cked up, if you think me and Tyler will be at odds at any point. He’s helping me, already going out of his way to aid my progress. So in the nicest way… cut the s*it ! “
Moreover, Hot New Hip Hop stated in a June 7 article that 50 Cent disclosed, media mogul Tyler Perry has been advising him on how to avoid potential problems with his new studio.
50 Cent said that Tyler Perry is just being helping him with his new venture
On April 18, 50 Cent launched his new G-Unit Films studio in Shreveport, La. By doing so, he may be following in Tyler Perry's footsteps but he is making it clear that they are not competitors.
However, internet users believe that they are. Fans are playfully comparing the In da Club singer to the wealthy filmmaker Tyler Perry due to Cent's actions. They also feel that Cent's studio might pose a competition to Tyler Perry Studios.
X users also speculated that 50 Cent was quietly turning into Tyler Perry when word leaked about this next project, but the rapper has disproved the idea.
On June 17, he took to Instagram to clarify that he and Tyler are never at conflict. He went on to say that Perry was supposedly already making extra efforts to support him and that he was helping him.
Hot New Hip Hop reported that the rapper disclosed his intentions to collaborate with Perry in order to assist the business advance into a "premium space”. He further added-
"So I’ll be out in Atlanta shortly to look at his facility so I can not make some mistakes that I could potentially make. There’s so much more to come. I’m standing in front of you, I currently have 34 shows across 10 different networks, you only aware of four.”
This came after it was reported by The Roots that the singer last week unveiled a "three-phase plan" for his investments in Shreveport that will support the development of the local economy.
In fact, the 48-year-old rapper published the outside renderings of his planned G-Unit Studios on April 17. G-Unit Film & TV company will reportedly be housed in the production facility, which will have its headquarters in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana.
As per several sources, G-Unit Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana, is said to have grown to be the second-largest Black-owned production studio globally, with Perry's facility in Atlanta being the largest.
Tyler Perry didn’t say anything regarding the entire thing.
