Diddy was taken into custody last month and sent to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. On October 28, 2024, authorities conducted an interagency operation at the prison to ensure the safety of all inmates. Rapper Tony Yayo discussed the safety of high-profile figures like Diddy in prison during a Vlad TV interview on November 2, 2024.
Host DJ Vlad started the conversation by saying that although the trial is scheduled for May next year, it won't happen since there are "pending charges" on Diddy, also known as Sean John Combs.
"Let me tell you the worst thing about jail in prison. Because you know there's a difference. He's in jail, not in prison. Prison is when he go to, if he go, God forbid, to ADX, that's like, you don't want to go there," Yayo said.
At one point, DJ Vlad questioned Yayo on whether Sean would be safe in prison considering Tony had previously served his time for his involvement in certain legal issues. Yayo replied by saying:
"I mean he's high profile so he's going to be secluded. So like when I was on Rikers, I was in general population. So I got a lot of respect for that. Coz like how Tory Lanez him being in general prop is very dangerous but he gets a little more respect, because you don't want to be in protective custody, police walk you around all day."
Diddy's legal problems taking a worse turn with new details being revealed
As mentioned, Sean was arrested on September 16, 2024, on charges of s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Page Six acquired a grand jury indictment the following day, which stated that authorities found evidence such as lubricant bottles during the raids conducted at his house in March this year, and they were used in alleged s*x events called Freak-Offs.
While Diddy is currently awaiting trial, new details have emerged in his case where an individual named Courtney Burgess claimed before a grand jury that he had once possessed s*x tapes which reportedly featured Sean, as per Page Six.
During his appearance on the show Banfield, Burgess stated that the tapes included a few minors alongside eight celebrities. He mentioned that the celebrities were seemingly under the influence, hinting that they were victims.
Meanwhile, Burgess has been approached by the Department of Homeland Security, ordering him to submit all the records, hard drives, and other forms of electronic evidence that feature Sean. However, Sean's attorneys have not shared any response to the claims related to the s*x tapes.
Back in September this year, attorney Ariel Mitchell-Kidd also claimed on Banfield that she was contacted by an anonymous person who stated that he allegedly had Diddy's s*x tapes. Ariel, who represented one of Sean's alleged victims, said that she was asked to speak to the person who appeared in one of the videos and added:
"I can tell the video was p*rnographic in nature. This was in his Atlanta Home, and it does seem the person isn't looking into the video. To me, it doesn't seem like that person knows they're being videotaped."
With a few months left for the trial on May 5, 2025, the grand jury has reportedly claimed that there could be changes in the date considering that more victims are speaking out against Diddy, as per The Blast. Further updates on the same are currently awaited.
