Amid Diddy’s legal battle, popular DJ and rapper Lord Jamar made claims about Diddy being a part of the “Gay Mafia.” In an interview uploaded on The Art of Dialogue's YouTube channel on October 5, 2024, Lord Jamar was asked by the host if he believed that hip hop had a gay mafia.
To this, Lord Jamar replied that he believed there were people in hip-hop “pressing the buttons.” He then named Diddy, often called “Puffy,” and said:
“This is part of it. You just saw one of the gay mafia members. That’s who he is, that’s who Puffy is. He is one of the members of the mob. He’s a mafia member. But he might not be the Don Carl, he is not the godfather. He is one of the heads of the family.”
Lord Jamar also mentioned Diddy’s liquor brand, DeLeón tequila and Ciroc Vodka, and said:
“Some say that he got a little too big for his britches and when he ended up suing that liquor company DeLeón, that’s when it all started going downhill for him.”
The Art of Dialogue interview comes almost 20 days after Diddy AKA Sean Combs was arrested in New York after a grand jury indictment. Reportedly, the rapper was charged with s*x trafficking, racketeering, and fraud.
Lord Jamar on the possibility of Jay-Z being the "next" after Combs
Lord Jamar also predicted that it could be Jay-Z next to come under scrutiny after Diddy. When the host asked him how he felt about the people saying that "Jay-X is next?”, Jamar responded:
"You know, I will say that Jay-Z, if he was doing ill like that, he was more quiet about it. You know what I mean? But then, if we are real with ourselves, it was kinda abnormal when he got with Beyoncé. She was pretty young when he got with her."
After Lord Jamar spoke about Diddy being a part of a “Gay Mafia,” many social media users recalled Kim Porter’s memoir, which narrated the instances of Diddy being a child s*xual abuser.
For the unversed, Kim Porter shared four children with Sean "Diddy" Combs. Billboard reported that Porter allegedly kept a diary on a flash drive, which she gave to friends before her death in 2018.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, author Chris Todd (under the pseudonym "Jamal T. Millwood") later published these diary entries in a book that became an Amazon bestseller. The book made claims against Combs, including allegations of physical and child s*xual abuse.
Porter reportedly wrote about discovering tapes showing Combs with underage boys, including one with an 18-year-old who later became a famous pop star. However, Todd did not provide any evidence to support these allegations.
The credibility of the information could not be confirmed, as the allegations were not addressed by Diddy or his lawyer.
Diddy is now scheduled for a court hearing on October 9, 2024. It is also worth noting that Combs’ lawyers have repeatedly tried to bail him out. However, the release of the rapper has been denied by the judge, with the prosecutors claiming that the rapper is a “flight risk.”
