"He's there, he's reached that level" — Lil Wayne's son Lil Novi reveals who he thinks is the greatest rapper after his dad

Lil Wayne's son Lil Novi has revealed in a viral video about the rapper whom he considers the greatest after his father. In a viral clip captured from his conversation with Flophouse Atlanta, Novi stated that Playboi Carter is that artist who could reach the level of Wayne. He said:

"Obviously, my dad for me, I'd say like because Carti is like the Wayne now so yeah, Carti. If you really like think, he's there, he's reached that level. He's done crazy numbers."

The clip was posted by Kurrco through X (formerly Twitter) and Novi's statement received a mixed response from the public. A few people mentioned the differences between Wayne and Carti's music and some others disagreed with the opinion that Carti was the best after Wayne.

Lil Novi revealed in the same interview that he was 11 years old when he developed an interest in rapping. He additionally addressed the time he spent with his father over the years and the things that influenced him to pursue a similar career to Lil Wayne.

Also known as Neal Carter, Lil Novi was born to singer Nivea in November 2009, as per People magazine. An Instagram post from No Jumper revealed in March this year that Novi shared his new music in an Instagram Live session. He has also been spotted alongside his father on a few occasions over the years.

Wayne and Nivea were once engaged in 2002 but they split the following year. Although they reconciled in 2009, the duo separated for another time in 2010. During her conversation with VLADTV in 2019, Nivea recalled her pregnancy and breakup with Wayne by saying:

"I ended our relationship while I was carrying our son was because I couldn't take that. I thought I could. I'm a different type of woman. I was like, 'You know what? You love me? F*ck it!' But then I realized that's not what I wanted. So I let it go."
