Canadian rapper and singer Drake's latest social media activity has sparked a wave of reactions online as fans noticed that the rapper unfollowed Sean "Diddy" Combs, among others, on Instagram. The move comes as Diddy faces serious allegations, including s*x trafficking, leading many to speculate that the Canadian rapper's unfollowing spree is related to these charges.

Fans took to social media to share their thoughts, with many pointing out the timing of the action amid Diddy’s ongoing legal battles.

In My Feelings singer's unfollowing spree has stirred up reactions across social media, with fans taking to X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts.

One user, said, "He’s trying to beat those allegations."

This sentiment was echoed by several others, with fans hinting that the Canadian rapper might be attempting to protect his public image amid Diddy’s scandal.

Another fan tweeted, "It took Drake to find out about the extra 120 Diddy victims to unfollow him?"
In contrast, another user wrote, "Doesn’t undo going to those parties."

While many fans speculated about the rapper's intentions, others criticized what they saw as a lack of transparency.

"I see why considering the circumstances," tweeted a user, pointing to how widely publicized Diddy's allegations have become.
Similarly, another user added, "For some reason I got a feeling he hesitated when he tried unfollowing him."
Some fans highlighted how this might be part of a broader PR strategy, commenting, "his PR manager like PLEASE bro they're talking about it."

Drake unfollows Diddy as the music mogul faces serious allegations

Reports surfaced that Drake, 37, recently unfollowed several high-profile figures, including NBA star LeBron James, rapper Playboi Carti, podcaster Joe Budden, and NBA player DeMar DeRozan.

This move followed a long-standing feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, where fans believe some of these unfollowings may be connected to Lamar's Juneteenth concert earlier this year.

Notably, James was seen at the event enjoying Lamar's performance, and DeRozan even took the stage during Lamar’s rendition of his Canadian rapper's diss track, Not Like Us. This public display likely exacerbated tensions between Drake and those connected to Lamar, contributing to the unfollowing spree.

However, the most recent unfollowing — that of Diddy — caught fans' attention, particularly given Diddy’s current legal troubles. The 54-year-old music mogul has been embroiled in a scandal, with allegations of s*x trafficking, and is currently behind bars awaiting trial.

As the victim list in the case grows, many speculate that the Canadian rapper’s decision to unfollow Diddy might be his attempt to distance himself from the controversy.

Drake's recent social media purge comes amid his feud with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar. The two artists have been at odds since March when Lamar was featured on Future and Metro Boomin’s hit Like That, which took subtle shots at Drake.

Tensions escalated when Lamar released his diss track Not Like Us in May, aimed directly at Toosie Slide's singer. The track has since dominated the Billboard Hot 100 and fueled the rivalry between the two.

Drake, known for his chart-topping hits like God's Plan and Hotline Bling, has been working on new music. In fact, fans are eagerly anticipating the release of his upcoming album, For All the Dogs, set to drop later this year. The album has already generated buzz with its star-studded collaborations and promises to be another major success for the Toronto native.

Additionally, he is preparing for his upcoming international tour to promote the new album.
