The internet is buzzing with fans reacting to Drake affiliate Baka Not Nice reacting to Kendrick Lamar's first release since Not Like Us. In an Instagram post on September 11, K Dot released his new track, allegedly titled Watch The Party Die.
In the five-minute track, the Not Like Us rapper drops hints that suggest that his beef with Drake isn't entirely over. Furthermore, the cover art features a pair of worn-out sneakers - a supposed reference to Drake's Push Ups that made fun of Lamar's shoe size.
Baka Not Nice aka Travis Savoury4 posted the emoji of a trash can in the comment section of an Instagram post by @torontorappers announcing Lamar's new track.
Fans hopped onto X to post their reaction to Baka Not Nice's gesture. Some comments read:
"He still around?" quipped one fan on X.
"Why is he around?" agreed another.
"wow he set himself up so bad," commented one netizen.
Many fans trolled Baka Not Nice by referring to Lamar's Not Like Us where he alluded to a "weird case" associated with the rapper. Fans referred to the case, commenting:
"Don’t he got a weird case or sumthin? Why is he around a phone or computer?"
"He should be dealing with his weird case," joked another.
"Don’t he got a weird case?" another fan chimed in.
"Someone tell Baka to stick to his weird case," opined yet another fan on X.
What is Baka Not Nice's "weird case" that Kendrick Lamar alludes to in Not Like Us?
Kendrick Lamar made some serious allegations against Drake and his OVO group in his chart-busting track Not Like Us. Besides doubling down on Drake's alleged p*dophilia and s*xual misconduct, K Dot also references his affiliate and former security guard Baka Not Nice's murky past.
"Say, Drake, I hear you like em' young/ You better not ever go to cell block one / To any bitch that talk to him and they in love / Just make sure you hide your lil' sister from him / They tell me Chubbs the only one that get your hand-me-downs / And Party at the party playin' with his nose now / And Baka got a weird case, why is he around? / Certified Lover Boy? Certified p*dophiles," Kendrick raps in Not Like Us.
Baka Not Nice was arrested in 2014 for allegedly forcing a 22-year-old woman into prostitution. However, the prostitution and human trafficking charges against the rapper were dropped after the woman didn't testify in court.
The following year, the rapper was accused of assaulting a woman and breaking firearm laws. The victim reportedly got into an altercation with Baka after the latter passed out drunk, burning the food in the oven. The fight resulted in the rapper pushing her to the floor.
Baka pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six months in prison, but avoided jail time because he had already served 10 months after his 2014 arrest.
After Baka's release in 2015, Drake published a celebratory post on Instagram that has since been deleted.
"Something in the air today ... a lot of good things happening at once. But this one means the MOST!!! Been waiting for 11 months!! Baka finally home!!!!!" wrote Drizzy.
Baka Not Nice started out as Drizzy's bodyguard but has evolved to become one of the most integral parts of his OVO team. The rapper first appeared in Drake's 2013's Nothing Was The Same. Since then, he has made appearances in albums like More Life and Scorpion.
Baka signed a contract with OVO Sound in 2017 and has since released two albums - 4Milli in 2018 and No Long Talk in 2019.
