Usher stopped his Boston concert on August 27 after spotting former host of 106 & Park's Free Marie Wright in the audience. Social media went abuzz after videos of Usher spotting Free made the waves online.
In one of the clips shared online, Usher can be seen pausing his performance to greet Free Marie Wright and said,
"Hold on, hold on, hold on. Is that Free, I see?"
Usher also stepped down to greet her.
After a video of the interaction was posted by The Shade Room, netizens took to the comment section, gushing over Usher's reaction to seeing Free.

Who is Free Marie Wright?
American media personality, choreographer, rapper, and television producer Free Marie Wright gained recognition after she became the first host alongside A.J. Calloway of Black Entertainment Television's 106 & Park until 2005. 106 & Park was an American hip-hop and R&B show that played the top 10 most requested videos of the day, which were requested by viewers by voting on the telephone or online.
While reminiscing his time as host at the show, Calloway in an Instagram post in 2022 wrote,
"22 years ago today a show was born out of a little studio on the corner of 106 and Park Ave in NYC. We had no idea that it would have the global impact that it did. We were green in the television industry just trying to figure out but at the same time always being fans of the culture!"
During her time at 106 & Park Free Marie Wright interviewed notable stars such as Denzel Washington, Aaliyah, Halle Berry, Mariah Carey, Maxwell, Alicia Keys, Janet Jackson, Beyonce and Michael Jackson.
In 2003, the host started recording her studio debut album, Pressure Free which was set to release in the spring of 2008 featuring collaborations with key artists such as Faith Stevens, Bink, Scott Storch, Rockwilder, Kanye West, Just Blaze, Rah Digga, Timbaland and Missy Eliott.
Free later served as a disc jockey at KKBT 100.3 The Beat in L.A, served as a monitoring drive co-host at WPGC-FM in Washington D.C and also co-hosted The Ed Lover Morning Show on Power 105.1 in New York.
