Kendrick Lamar left the internet in a frenzy after announcing his new tour, Grand National, with SZA. As the rapper shared the tour dates covering most major cities in North America, he also peculiarly included shows outside of the US, including one in Drake’s hometown of Toronto. Netizens found it hilarious that a second show in Toronto has now been announced.

For those uninitiated, the West Coast rapper and Drake were in a months-long rap battle over the summer, during which both artists released diss tracks against each other. K. Dot’s diss track aimed at Drizzy, Not Like Us, broke chart records, becoming the fastest hip-hop song to hit 300 million streams on Spotify. Some diss tracks Drizzy launched against K. Dot included Family Matters, Taylor Made Freestyle, and Push Ups.

The Grand National Tour is scheduled to take place at the Rogers Centre, Toronto’s biggest venue, with a capacity of 55,000, on June 12, just three days before Father’s Day. The second show is expected to take place on June 13.

Netizens found the situation amusing, as many did not expect Kendrick Lamar’s performances in Toronto to become immensely popular. Several netizens suggested that K. Dot should perform Drake’s song Back to Back in Toronto, considering that he has two shows in the city. One netizen stated:

"He should walk out to Back to Back on the 2nd night"

Several others expressed similar sentiments, with some reactions reading:

“Every week new drake L,” an X user said.
“2 shows during Father’s Day week Dot is a menace,” another platform user said.
“I f**k with Drake but this is kinda funny Kendrick doesn’t let up,” a netizen said.

It is worth noting that Drake has never performed in Toronto’s biggest concert venue, where K. Dot is scheduled to perform. Meanwhile, other reactions read:

“Drake can’t stop losing,” an X user said.
“The Takeover,” a platform user commented.
“He need to check in with OVO members,” another netizen said.

The show addition comes after Drake took legal action against his and Kendrick Lamar’s music label, Universal Music Group, for allegedly using artificial means to boost K. Dot’s Drizzy-diss track, Not Like Us. Meanwhile, other reactions read:

“Drake fans can’t catch a break,” an internet user said.
“As a Canadian, can we get a 3rd show,” a platform user said.
