While fans had been excited for Eminem's latest album, The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), he also found himself some criticism. The song Antichrist mentioned Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj, making listeners question the rapper. The verses read:

"Cause I can spit a bar […] So hard, Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj will scissor..."

Netizens soon took to social media and reacted to the song's lyrics. One user wrote,

"He wants controversy cause the music ain’t selling."
"Using female rappers and their beef to propagate some virality for your album… yikes," wrote another one.
"His obsession with women who are more successful than him needs to be studied," added another tweet.

While the rapper had been criticized for his lyrics, many fans had also extended support. One wrote,

"More successful than who ?lol Nicki and Megan combine don’t even come close."
"The one argument against Eminem you can't make is that his music doesn't sell lmao," read another tweet.
"Eminem been triggering yall since 1999. Yall aint tired of crying?," added one fan.

Eminem had previously mentioned Megan Thee Stallion in Houdini which caused widespread criticism

Netizens speculated that the rapper dissed Megan Thee Stallion in Houdini, since a mention of the 2020 shooting incident was made in the track. Fan, however, defended the Mockingbird rapper, claiming that using Stallion's name should be considered typical of Slim Shady, who was the rapper's provocative alter ego.

In the track, Eminem rapped,

"If I was to ask for Megan Thee Stallion if she would collab with me, would I really have a shot at a feat?"

This seemed to have referred to Megan Thee Stallion getting shot by Tory Lanez in 2020, for which he was found guilty in 2022. The lyrics divided the listeners where some bashed the rapper, and some defended him. The similar situation had happened in case of Antichrist and the mention of Megan as well as Nicki Minaj.

Despite the debate, Eminem's new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), has been charting with controversial songs and has also made it to the US Billboard 200. Both Houdini and Tobey became quite successful tracks and were ranked 2 and 95, respectively, on the US Billboard 100 as well.

Special attention had further been made by the listeners for songs like Temporary and Somebody Save Me, due to their sentimental and personal nature. Eminem dedicated the tracks to his daughters Hailie and Alaina. The Houdini rapper had recently tweeted that since the album is a concept album, it would be best if the listeners listen to the tracks serially.
