On July 5, 2024, Kendrick Lamar released the music video for Not Like Us on YouTube. The track garnered significant attention as it was the most lyrically heavy track from Drake and Kendrick Lamar's lyrical battle. However, the music video was released the same day Drake went to the "all-white party" of Michael Rubin.

Many fans on X suggested that Kendrick Lamar deliberately dropped it the same day. The video features Lamar in an all-white attire waving at the camera, adding fuel to the speculation that it was intended. One X user wrote:

"Kendrick dropped the video on the same day as Michael Rubin's "All White" party and then he waves at them, wearing all white."

This sparked a flurry of reactions on social media, with some finding the timing and attire humorous.

"Did Kendrick intentionally drop the music video right before Michael Rubin's White Party because if so that's funny af," another person said.
"Kendrick In all white," one X user wrote.
"Crazy how kendrick had on all white in the NOT LIKE US video and dropped it the same day as Michael Rubin's White Party...🤔," another fan commented.

Several reactions from fans indicated displeasure with this move by Lamar, expressing frustration and disappointment.

"Bro drops the video wearing all white. While Drake is at the all white party. Kendrick is sick," one person reacted.
"Kendrick really bullying dis ni**a man I've never seen anything like dis, why you drop dat shit during the All White party 😭😭 dis crazy he needs to be locked away," another individual wrote.
"Oh kendrick is real messy for dropping this video just before drake makes an appearance at michael rubin's all white party lmao," an X user wrote.

In addition, some fans took a more lighthearted approach to the situation, with one joking that Kendrick was showing his respect for the "all-white" party by not attending.

"Kendrick Lamar sending his regards to not showing up to Michael Rubin's 4th of July "All White Party," one person wrote.
"WAIT LMFAO THE WHITE PARTY WAS ON THE SAME DAY?!? Lmfaooooooooooooooooo yo what is Kendrick on????," another fan reacted.

The all-white party, attended by Drake and many high-profile entertainment industry figures, was hosted by American businessman Michael Rubin. On May 18, 2024, Drake posted a personalized invitation designed and created by George Condo on his Instagram story.

The two-second specific clip that garnered attention starts at 4:53, where Kendrick Lamar can be seen loose, calf-length white trousers, a white baggy zipper jacket, white shoes, and socks, completing his all-white look.

The music video, which has garnered over thirty-three million views on YouTube, begins with Lamar in this white attire. Later, he knocks on the metal gate, where Tommy the Clown asks him for a password to let him in. To which, Lamar replies:

"I see dead people."

Kendrick Lamar begins doing push-ups after getting in the metal room, indicating a jab at Drake's Push-Up, released on April 19, 2024. Other alleged references to Drake include Lamar hitting an owl pinata, referencing Drake's record label OVO and its symbol owl.

Another significant jab is at the fourth minute, when Lamar, his partner Whitney Alford, and their children dance in a living room; it is a response to Drake's Family Matters. As in the track, the Canadian rapper suggested that Alford does not love Lamar and does not father one of his children.

The music video is shot in his hometown, Compton, and is co-directed by Dave Free.

These insights were drawn from the recent lyrical feud between the two artists. Neither artist has officially verified any specifics.
