Rapper 50 Cent took to Instagram on December 14, 2024, to share his response to claims made by an alleged victim against Jay-Z. The rapper responded to the news of the accuser claiming in an interview with NBC News that she made a mistake while identifying the person who r*ped her in 2000.

Jay was accused of r*ping the victim in a lawsuit a few days ago. It is worth noting that the original lawsuit was filed against Diddy. The alleged victim's name wasn't disclosed and she is being referred to as Jane Doe.

In his Instagram post, 50 Cent shared a photo of the late painter Basquiat, with the words "Not Guilty" on top of the picture. In his caption, the rapper stated that the allegations could have "ruined the man's life," as he stated that the alleged victim's lawyer Tony Buzbee "gotta pay for this."

"Man the b*tch lying, her own daddy wouldn't support the story. Coulda ruined the man's life WTF Buzbee gotta pay for this sh*t. @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi," the rapper wrote.

50 Cent may have used the artist's photo because of Jay-Z having referred to the artist multiple times over the years. U.S. News & World Report stated in 2013 that Jay-Z's single Picasso Baby addressed Basquiat in the lyrics. The single was a part of Jay's album Magna Carta Holy Grail and it reached on top of the US Billboard 200.

Apart from that, Jay and his wife Beyoncé collaborated on a campaign related to modern love in 2021 and a photo of the duo went viral at the time. It showed the two of them posing in front of a painting made by Basquiat, according to Art News.

According to Britannica, Basquiat was mostly known for adding pictures resembling graffiti and scrawled text to his paintings. Basquiat was 20 years old when he became a part of the art world in New York City and his first exhibition was The Times Square Show. The painter died of a heroin overdose when he was 27 in 1988, according to ARTNews.

Jay-Z's alleged victim admits that there are inconsistencies in her claims

Jay-Z was named in a lawsuit that was refiled on Sunday, December 8. The legal document, originally filed in October 2024, named Diddy and also accused Jay of r*ping a 13-year-old girl at a party in 2000, as per NBC News.

The lawsuit claimed that Diddy's driver took the girl to an afterparty when she arrived at a venue, wanting to attend the MTV Video Music Awards. Various celebrities reportedly attended the party and according to Jane Doe, many of them were doing drugs. She stated that she was offered a drink and began feeling lightheaded after she drank from it.

Legal documents stated that the girl went inside a room to rest when Jay-Z and Diddy entered the room a few moments later and r*ped her.

NBC News' latest report stated that Jane Doe, who was 13 at the time of the alleged assault, currently lives in Alabama. A report by the outlet also stated that the woman and her attorneys admitted that there were inconsistencies in the accusations made against Jay.

The alleged victim addressed the same by saying that she had "made some mistakes" and may have "made a mistake in identifying."

The lawsuit against Jay mentioned that the alleged victim was able to escape and she contacted her father from a gas station. However, the woman's father spoke to NBC News and reportedly denied getting a call from his daughter. He also stated that the gas station where the girl allegedly called him was nearly five hours away from their house.

Also known as Shawn Corey Carter, Jay spoke to E! News on December 13, 2024, and addressed the alleged r*pe mentioned in the lawsuit. The rapper claimed that it didn't happen, adding that "true justice is coming."

"True justice is coming. We fight from victory, not for victory. This was over before it began," he said.

Texas lawyer, Tony Buzbee, who filed the original lawsuit, also accepted that the woman's father could not remember anything that happened in 2000.

"His daughter explains that he was in no state to remember during that point in time due to personal issues he was having then," the lawyer told NBC News.

However, the lawyer also mentioned that the woman is not denying the allegations she made against Jay-Z, adding that her father might have "misremembered the night in question."
