Ice Spice opened up about her experience filming alongside Denzel Washington in the upcoming Spike Lee movie High and Low, in her latest Big Boy's Neighborhood interview. On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, she revealed that she was excited for the movie to release, as she looked much different than her regular self. Internet users have since taken to social media to opine on her latest acting venture.
Although not much about her role in the film has been revealed to the public, she said in the interview:
“Let’s just say I don’t really look like myself, so I’m excited to see what that looks like on camera.”
Ice Spice claimed that she had a “real quick” appearance in the film. She also added,
“I have a little cameo type thing. But I was so nervous.”
Speaking about acting with Oscar winner, Denzel Washington, she said:
“He has a very powerful vibe. And I was just a little intimidated but mostly nervous. He just kept saying, ‘Don’t be nervous. Congrats, you’re great.’ So he was really encouraging and sweet. That was huge to work with him.”

Ice Spice slammed Ozempic-usage rumors on X
Apart from making headlines for her upcoming film appearance, Ice Spice also took to X Spaces recently, to slam rumors of her using the popular weight-loss drug Ozempic. On Monday, August 19, Ice Spice, whose real name is Isis Naija Gaston said:
“I actually came on here to talk about that real quick. I wish y’all never learned the word Ozempic. That’s one thing I wish… You lazy a*s bi**hes never heard of a gym? It’s called the gym, it’s called eating healthy, it’s called being on tour. Like, what the hell? Maybe if I was sitting at home all f**king day, it’d be easier to stay big.”
Ozempic was originally prescribed as a medication for those diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. However, it has been used by many to lose weight.
Meanwhile, the singer has also been performing her Y2K! debut album across the globe. The album, which was released last month, reached the 18th spot on the Billboard 200 chart. It features various artists, including Central Cee, Gunna, and Travis Scott.
