Snoop Dogg is one of the many celebrities using his platform to help the victims of the California wildfires by turning his apparel store, Snoop Dogg's Clothing, into a donation center from January 10 to 14, 2025. On January 11, the West Coast rapper took to social media to spread the word about his donation center, held at his store in Inglewood.

People who want to donate are encouraged to visit the store, located at 905a S Prairie Avenue, between 11 am and 7 pm to drop off things like clothing, household supplies, toiletries, blankets and other essential items. The center will be active till January 14.

The Instagram post also added the centre will not be accepting used items, and will only take in products that have their original package. A list of all the needed items was also included in the post.

"Another successful day, and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible volunteers who showed up to help! Your time, energy, and compassion are truly making a difference for those affected by this tragedy," the post's caption added.

The LA wildfires, which first broke out on January 7, continue to ravage the city at the time of the article, with the death toll adding up to 24 so far. The affluent neighborhood of Pacific Palisades was severely damaged by the Palisades Fire, with firefighters actively working to contain the flames.

Snoop Dogg is a California native

Snoop Dogg is one of the most popular West Coast rappers hailing from Long Beach, California. Snoop Dogg has often rapped about his West Coast pride in several songs like Gin and Juice, Party on the West Coast and Who Am I? (What’s My Name?).

So it stands to reason that the rapper is now trying to help his community by converting his apparel store into a temporary donation center. On January 10, Snoop Dogg took to Instagram to announce his donation center, writing:

"We are devastated and send our condolences to those who have been affected by these fires Please stop by and pick up some clothing that we have available to get you and your family through these trying times free of charge. ID/address requested."

According to Uproxx, the donation drive was an overwhelming success, causing Snoop Dogg and his team to limit the donation hours between 11 am and 7 pm. The store is also calling for volunteers to help oversee the donations and distribute items to people in need.

Updates about the LA wildfires

In other news, the LA wildfires continue to blaze even as firefighters brace themselves for the recurring Santa Ana winds, one of the major reasons why the fires were able to spread throughout the city. Seventy additional water trucks have been stationed to combat the fire in light of the renewed winds, expected to blow over from January 13.

According to the Independent, the wildfires have impacted over 40,000 acres, a majority of which was due to the Palisades fire and the Eaton fire. The Palisades fire was 13% contained, while the Eaton fire was 27% contained at the time of this article.

Thousands of people lost their homes in the wildfires, including celebrities like Paris Hilton, Eugene Levy, Leighton Meester & Adam Brody. Many celebrities have also donated to help the victims of the wildfires, including Halle Berry, Jamie Lee Curtis, Charli XCX, and Selena Gomez.
