A drug cartel member sued Sean Diddy Combs for allegedly bringing the downfall of his illegal drug business in a lawsuit dismissed by a New York judge.
As per documents found by NewsNation, a self-proclaimed cartel member named Alfredo P. Gonzalez filed a defamation lawsuit against the rapper. In the lawsuit, Gonzalez accused Diddy of destroying his drug smuggling business because he refused to get involved in s*x trafficking with the rapper. Diddy allegedly ensured he lost all his contacts and deals in New York. The cartel member reportedly demanded $666,000 in compensation.
Judge Laura Taylor Swain dismissed the lawsuit, noting that it lacked legal backing. The judge indicated that Gonzalez's “business is not alleged to be a legally protected interest,” and thus he could not seek compensation for his damages.
Fans took to X to react to the news, with most being surprised at how Diddy was being sued by a drug cartel member. One user said:
"Diddy is the devil man😂😂😂. No two ways about it. How do you have a drug cartel suing you?😂😂😂"
"A drug cartel said Diddy was too nasty for them. Lmfao," a fan laughed.
"A drug dealer tried to take legal action on a former business partner for adding an illegal activity to his already illegal business model. OK, but is the Cartel member behind bars now or roaming the streets among us? Why is Diddy still a free man?" a netizen questioned.
"Ayy man I dont wanna be the guy that asks the dumb a*s question but I gotta ask it , but can the Cartel member really sue diddy 😂😂. Like no disrespect to them at all i hope they get they money but I just don’t know how this works when they are an alleged drug pin," a user added.
"Idk what’s funnier😂 the cartel guy suing bcuz his drug business got ruined or Diddy getting sued by the cartel," a netizen joked.
Netizens continued to laugh about the news, naming the rapper a villain.

Drug cartel member Alfredo P. Gonzalez has been detained at the Centennial Correctional Facility in Canon City, Colorado. Meanwhile, Sean Combs has been dealing with multiple lawsuits filed against him with alleged charges of r*pe, s*xual assault, and s*x trafficking.
Sean Diddy Combs is under federal investigation for alleged s*x trafficking charges
Sean Combs has been facing federal charges for s*x trafficking. In March 2024, Homeland Security raided his Los Angeles homes while the rapper's sons, Justin and Christian Combs, were detained outside.
In the same month, Homeland Security also raided the hip-hop mogul's Miami home. Law enforcement officials spoke to ABC News, revealing that they found guns in both homes and also collected several electronic devices in relation to s*x trafficking charges against the rapper.
The rapper, however, is yet to be charged with a crime as of writing, and his attorneys maintain his innocence. A grand jury has been set up to hear evidence about the case.
Meanwhile, Combs has also faced alleged charges of s*xual assault and r*pe over the years. Combs's former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, accused the rapper of years of r*pe and s*xual abuse. The case was settled outside of court in November 2023.
However, CNN obtained exclusive footage of Sean Combs assaulting Ventura in a corridor of the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in California in 2016. The video featured the rapper kicking and beating Ventura while she appeared to be leaving the hotel via the elevator.
Shortly after CNN released the footage, Sean Combs took to Instagram to share an apology message where he claimed to take full responsibility for his actions in the video. He said:
“My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help.”
He added,
“I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
At the time of Ventura's lawsuit, Combs had denied her accusations against him, many of which coincided with what happened in the video.
