On Sunday, December 1, Cardi B took to Twitter Spaces and defended herself after being scrutinized for partying post her breakup and childbirth. Many have recently bashed her for apparently being an irresponsible mother for going out so much.
On Spaces, she said:
"I’m not being a h*e because after I leave the club, I take this wet a*s p**** to my f*cking bed with no d*ck to give it to. After you have a breakup, you have to just live a little bit."
The rapper further revealed that she felt "restricted" while she was in her marriage. Cardi added:
"I was just like in a state that I didn’t even notice. Even when I feel like I wasn’t depressed, I just wasn’t being myself. And now, I don’t feel like that."
The rapper also shed light on the allegations of her being an irresponsible parent. She described herself as a "real provider." The Bodak Yellow artist further stated:
"I balance it all. How do you expect women to heal over a heartbreak? That’s why we say our mothers cry so much."
This wasn't the first time that Cardi B addressed such criticism. The bashing got too intense earlier in October when she was spotted partying at The Stafford Room, where Offset was present.
Back then, Cardi B slammed the trolls and claimed that she was extremely devoted to her baby. She further revealed suffering from postpartum depression and that she was partying with her closest friends.
Cardi B recently revealed that partying had helped her stay distracted amid the divorce with Offset
On November 17, Cardi B spoke about her current lifestyle where she could be seen partying quite often. According to the rapper, this had been a great distraction for her amid the separation process with Offset. On the Instagram live session, the rapper further said:
"I feel like I been going outside [a lot]. I have to. It’s like, I’m getting through a divorce so I have to enjoy myself. I gotta enjoy myself, you know what I’m saying?"
She then shed light on her current work status and assured she would soon be getting back to music. Cardi B continued:
"But all I know is, no more outside! We gotta be inside. Chain us up to the muthaf*ckin’ mic!"
On the same live session, the rapper further confirmed that her sophomore album would be released next year, which she previously said was going to happen in 2024. The rapper additionally mentioned that she had been "quite emotional lately" and believed 2025 would be her year. She then said:
"I don’t know what the f*ck happened this year, I can’t even tell you. […] I fell in love. Then fell out of love, then got a divorce."
The rapper's debut album, Invasion of Privacy, was launched in 2018, and since then she has not dropped any other album. However, she has released singles including Enough (Miami) and Puntería, in 2024. Fans seemingly have to wait some more to witness her sophomore album.
