Pop star Janet Jackson has officially announced her Las Vegas residency at Resorts World Las Vegas. The 10-show residency will launch with back-to-back performances on December 30 and New Year’s Eve (December 31).

The remaining eight shows will be held in January and February, with the residency concluding on February 15, 2025. Janet Jackson took to Instagram to share her enthusiasm, stating:

“We’re so excited to announce our new residency at Resorts World Las Vegas launching New Year’s week! This is going to be a lot of fun and I look forward to spending the start of the New Year with you!! We truly can’t wait! Sending so much love."

Fans can expect a show that encompasses Jackson's decades-long career, complete with her biggest hits and a high-octane performance that has since become synonymous with her name.

Tickets for all 10 shows will be made available starting Wednesday, August 28, at 10 a.m. PT via AXS. Those looking to secure their spots early need not fret, as pre-sales will begin on August 26 at 10 a.m. PT and run through August 27 till 10 p.m. PT. More specifics of the pre-sales are expected to be out soon.

Buzz around Jackson's return to LA

Bobby Reynolds, senior vice president of AEG Presents Las Vegas, shared his enthusiasm for Jackson’s return to the Las Vegas Strip. He said in a press statement:

We could not be more thrilled to close out 2024 with her return to the Las Vegas Strip and her venue debut at our award-winning Resorts World Theatre and to kick off 2025 with a run of sure-to-be-unforgettable shows. Jackson’s residency will be held at the 5,000-capacity Resorts World Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas. The setlist for the shows is yet to be released. However, fans can likely expect a blend of her greatest hits, ranging from early classics like Control and Nasty to more recent tracks from her eleventh studio album Unbreakable.

During the Together Again tour, the multiple Grammy-winning star delivered a setlist that covered 39 songs. It featured classics like What Have You Done For Me Lately, All for You, Nasty, Control, and That’s the Way Love Goes. She concluded the concerts with a performance of Together Again, the track that set the name for the tour.

The 58-year-old artist is known to frequently perform special songs at her shows, such as her 1987 hit with Herb Alpert, Diamonds, and 1995 duet with her late brother Michael, Scream. The LA residency audience may see some unexpected tracks out of the setlist.

Together Again Tour and 2019 Las Vegas residency

Janet Jackson’s 2019 Metamorphosis residency at Park MGM was met with widespread acclaim. According to Billboard, it grossed $13 million from 76,813 tickets sold.

Her Together Again Tour successfully concluded in July 2024. As per estimates by Billboard Boxscore, it amassed nearly $51 million from 37 shows.

Given the success of Jackson's last tour and the Metamorphosis residency, the excitement for her upcoming LA residency is at an all-time high.
