In a recent interview with The Times, Liam Gallagher’s son Gene talks about the possibility of an Oasis reunion. Speculations have been rife about the members coming together for a reunion. The 23-year-old musician, who has three stepsibs through his father, looks forward to the same and is tentative about his father wanting a reunion to happen. He said,
“I mean, will they? I don’t know. I would love it but it’s so beyond my control. No, no. I get the feeling my dad wants it too. Let’s hope it happens.”
Earlier on May 20, the band released a cryptic video on their official X account, which kindled reunion speculations among the fans. However, the idea was soon dismissed as the location in the video was where the Liam Gallagher-led group recorded their debut album, Definitely Maybe.
Liam Gallagher is a father to four children
A father of four, Liam Gallagher has had multiple romantic partners. While staying married to actress Patsy Kensit, he had an affair with Lisa Moorish. The latter gave birth to his first daughter, Molly Moorish, in 1998. It wasn't until 2018 that Liam met his daughter. Molly added ‘Gallagher’ to her surname later on.
Liam Gallagher has a son, Lennon Francis Gallagher with Patsy Kensit. He was born in 1999. Liam separated from Patsy in 2000. Gene, who happens to be Liam’s second son, was born to the All Saints singer Nicole Appleton in 2001. Liam separated from Nicole in 2014.
The English singer had a brief affair with journalist Liza Ghorbani, who gave birth to their daughter Gemma in 2013. In July 2018, Liam and his three kids – Molly, Lennon, and Gene took a vacation in Ibiza. The three kids were also seen together during a night out at the London Fashion Week last year.
Liam Gallagher and brother Noel still seem to be at odds
The idea of an Oasis reunion has been in the air for a long time. What has not led to its fruition is the previous conflict between the brothers, which led to the band’s breakup in 2009.
Reportedly, Liam’s brother, Noel Gallagher, has not been open to calls for a reunion. When asked whether the brothers would write another record or tour, Noel Gallagher said that the two of them were not interested.
“Well, look. I, you know, I have been saying it. He’s gonna have to call me. He’s gonna have to get somebody to call me because he has been going on about it for the last fu***** ten or whatever it is and, you know, he doesn’t want it and he knows that neither of us particularly are fu***** interested in it. I know he doesn’t want it."
Definitely Maybe marks its 30th anniversary this year, in commemoration of which a new edition of the same album will be released on August 30. This edition will include newly mixed recordings and outtakes.
