Journey band’s lead guitarist and cofounder, Neal Schon, was called out by his daughter, Aja, on TikTok. On August 19, the latter used TikTok to accuse her father of being absent from her life. This isn't the first time Aja has publicly discussed her family issues. In the viral video, she can be seen driving to a restaurant.

She said in the clip:

“Documenting this moment: My dad is in town playing with his little band called ‘Journey.’ He didn’t want to see me, so now I’m at the Dairy Queen drive-through. Stopped believing a long time ago.”

The caption of the TikTok video read, “DQ ice cream is better than 99% of their songs anyways!”

Neal Schon is the father of five children, from five marriages: Miles, Lizzy, Sarah, Aja, and Sophia, all of whom share his last name.

Inside Neal Schon’s family life as Journey guitarist gets called out by daughter

Neal Schon got married to his now wife Michaele Salahi, in 2013 in San Francisco. The latter is best known for her stint on Bravo’s Real Housewives of D.C. Schon proposed to Salahi during his October 2012 Lyric Opera House concert in Baltimore, Maryland, with an oval 11.42-carat engagement ring.

The couple went on to broadcast their wedding on Pay-Per-View. Speaking about the wedding prior to it being filmed, Salahi said in an interview with The Daily Beast in 2013 that it would be “exciting” and that it would not be “cheesy in the least.” She also said:

“We’re not interested in any drama. That’s why we haven’t gone into the reality thing. This is real.”

Prior to tying the knot with Salahi, Neal Schon was married to Amber Kozan from April 2001 until 2007. The latter at one point released a public statement addressing the interest people had in Schon’s “romantic pursuits.” The official statement that was released in 2011 by publicist Jonathan Franks on her behalf, which would be following the couple’s divorce, read:

“Ms. Schon is a single mother to their two children and is also a full-time student; her ex-husband’s romantic activities are not at the top of her list of priorities. She is focused on being a good mother, and protecting her children’s privacy, especially in the wake of this media circus, is of particular concern to her.”

Schon was married to Dina Gioeli between 1993 and 1998. The now-former couple are parents to Sarah, who is now 27 years old.

Schon was married to Beth Buckley and Tena Austin as well. Schon and Buckley are parents to two children, while Austin does not have any children with the Journey guitarist.

Not much is known about the two women.

Aja Schon made headlines in 2022 for addressing comments about her living off of her father’s money. While showing an empty space in the video, she stated:

“Dad reveal!!!! That’s on working three jobs and paying my own bills.”

Neal Schon had not publicly addressed his daughter’s latest TikTok video at the time of writing this article.
