Houston rapper and producer Justin Riley, aka BeatKing, has reportedly passed away on August 15 at the age of 39. Riley's manager Tasha Felder informed fans of the artist’s untimely demise through an Instagram post. She wrote:
"Today, August 15, we have lost @Cludgodzilla. BeatKing has been the best part of the club for over a decade. He has produced and worked with so many artists, that his sound will forever live...We will love him forever."
Tasha said the rapper loved his children, "his music and his fans". He had two daughters, Kayla and Jayla.
No further detail has been shared about Riley's death yet, leaving his fans shocked and shattered. Many found it difficult to believe that the rapper was gone so young. Some fans inquired what could have caused Justin Riley's passing.
"Anyone know what happened? May God bless his soul", wrote one.
"So sad but what happened? So unexpected. So young", asked another.
"Nah this is cultural shock. I can’t even process or believe this. This man is my whole club experience!!! Yooo", expressed another.

The now-deceased 39-year-old first made it to public recognition and fame with his 2011 album Kings of the Club. Known for his contributions to Southern club music, Riley was also referred to as Club Godzilla, homonymous with his popular 2014 song title.

BeatKing had a separate Instagram account @clubgodparenting dedicated to his two daughters Kayla and Jayla. He frequently updated fans with snippets from their lives where the trio were seen sharing goofy and affectionate exchanges.
One of his daughters appears to be 13 years old and the other 12, as the rapper shared a post for their 11th birthday back in November 2021 and April 2022 respectively.
People acquainted with the Texas club scene greatly admired BeatKing. The artist has had an impactful legacy, with several hit tracks from albums and mixtapes like King of the Club, Club God and its subsequent parts, 3 Weeks, Stripper Friends, Gangsta Stripper Music, and Astroworld 2.
His Then Leave, released in 2020, was a viral sensation, earning him expanded attention on TikTok. The late rapper had worked with several popular artists — some members of Three 6 Mafia including, Gangsta Boo, DJ Paul, and Juicy J, and other rappers — Bun B, 2 Chainz, Chamillionaire, Lil Keke, Dorrough Music, Paul Wall, Daz Dillinger, DJ Chose, and a few others.
One of his collaborators, Juicy J shared a tribute addressing BeatKing’s death.

Bun B paid tribute to the late rapper in an emotional Instagram update:
"It’s always the good ones. Damn this shit hurt. Just a great spirited person. We lost a talented artist and father. Prayer for @talameshia and his loved ones. RIP @clubgodzilla"
