American singer Muni Long recently talked about the end of her nine-year marriage to Raysean Hairston. On August 29, while promoting her latest album Revenge, the Grammy winner opened up about the separation on Real 92.3 LA's The Cruz Show.

Addressing the same, she said,

“It’s no secret that I’ve been married for nine years… It just didn’t work out. Like I was saying, I don’t have time for drama. I don’t have time for nonsense. This is one of the most amazing times in my life. If you can’t celebrate that with me, I’m so sorry but I’m going to have to leave you behind. I cannot.”

She continued,

“You wake up every day mad and there’s literally nothing to be upset about. Like, we have a beautiful child, we’re good. We might owe some bills but everybody has that.”

This was the first time she talked about her split. This came after she disclosed that she has a two-year-old son. It was revealed on August 8, when she took him on stage alongside Chris Brown during the 11:11 Tour. However, she hasn't yet revealed the name of her kid.

The singer-songwriter Muni Long revealed to the public, on August 8, that she is a mother of a toddler. There was earlier speculation that she was expecting a child in 2022, but nothing was confirmed then.

Now, the singer took her son on stage during her appearance as a special guest on Chris Brown's 11:11 Tour. The Hrs & Hours singer also performed Made For Me while cradling her infant on her lap.

Muni Long revealed that the song is about the purest kind of love in an interview with 105.3 The Beat in October 2023. Fans have inferred that the song is about her son.

Before this, the 35-year-old, who has been married to Raysean Hairston for nine years, had never disclosed that she was a mother.

Now, the singer made headlines once more when she announced her split from Hairston, with whom she had spent nearly ten years. The couple exchanged their vows in 2014 and has been together ever since.

However on August 29, while talking about her most recent album Revenge, she stated in an interview with Real 92.3's The Cruz Show,

“This whole album is like a page out of my diary. This is the first time I’m actually telling my business in the music. I always pull from real experiences. Because I’m writing from my unique perspective…. This is the first time I’m putting my real life in it.”

She also revealed that her nine-year marriage had failed. She continued by saying that she had no time for drama. She claimed to be living one of the most incredible times of her life, and she would leave others who couldn't share it with her.

She then concluded,

“I think it takes incredible strength to realize like this was the love of my life at one point… but I’m not willing to put my life and my passion and my happiness on hold for you to catch up…. I’m sorry I’m probably already over it.”

This came after her February interview with NPR last year, when Muni Long reflected on her relationship with her husband and talked about how, even though she is picky, she is never annoyed by her husband. Addressing the same, she said,

“I thought I was in love many times before. But I’m a Virgo, and, like, we hate everything and everybody. And, like, once I met my husband and — like, nothing that he does annoys me or gets on my nerves. We’ve been married for eight years, and I think just, like, I’ve never had intimacy before....”

Nevertheless, Muni Long didn’t give out any exact reason behind the split. Moreover, even Raysean didn’t say anything as well.
