On July 31, LeToya Luckett and Taleo Coles tied the knot in a private ceremony at the Le Tesserae in Houston, Texas. The Destiny's Child member got married in front of 200 people, including family and friends.
In an ESSENCE Exclusive published on August 1, Luckett talked about her love story and how it had helped her get well just before their wedding. She further said that she and Taleo had a mutual friend for 20 years, however, they didn't actually start dating until 2022.
Letoya Luckett has previously been married twice. After dating for a year, Luckett and motivational speaker Rob Hill Sr. reportedly got engaged in 2015. They married secretly in January 2016. TMZ claimed that the couple had ended their marriage after just two months.
LeToya again confirmed her engagement to businessman Tommicus Walker in August 2017. On December 10, 2017, they tied the knot in a ceremony at Villa Antonia in Austin, Texas. However, the couple made their divorce announcement on January 11, 2021.
Letoya Luckett has two kids and has been married twice before
LeToya Luckett, the former member of the band Destiny's Child, married motivational speaker and author Rob Hill Sr. in 2016 after being together for more than a year. However, after two months of marriage, the former couple called it quits. Nevertheless, she kept quiet about their breakup since their divorce settlement included a gag order.
The actress later got married to Tommicus Walker, whom she had gone public with in 2017 after the two had met through a mutual friend. On December 10, 2017, they tied the knot in a ceremony in Austin.
The couple then revealed their pregnancy for their first child together in June 2018. Luckett announced the same on Instagram in October 2018 and said that they were expecting a girl. Their daughter was born on January 4, 2019.
After a year, the couple further said that they were expecting a boy in March 2020. On September 14, 2020, they welcomed their son. Nevertheless, they made their divorce announcement on January 11, 2021. In July 2021, Luckett revealed that she and Walker were no longer married.
Letoya Luckett posted a picture with their kids on Instagram and announced,
"After very prayerful consideration, Tommicus and I have decided to get a divorce. It is my deepest desire for us to be loving co-parents and keep a peaceful environment out of respect for our children."
Essence reported that despite Walker's insistence that he didn't want the divorce and that he had never cheated on the singer, there were persistent allegations that he had. T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle on VH1 featured the couple and their marital problems during all three of its seasons, from 2018 to 2020.
Then in July 2024, Luckett tied the knot with Taleo Coles for the third time. Luckett previously discussed her then-present partner during an interview on the February 20 episode of Tamron Hall Show and said:
“I will say that, daily, I am spoiled with kindness. I am spoiled with peace. I am spoiled with support. I am spoiled with consistency, love – and I had to give it to myself first – but the fact that God saw fit to put it in the form of a man, I won’t complain.”
The Jasmine brand reported on August 1 that Taleo Coles and Letoya Luckett dated for a very long time. He even relocated from Raleigh, North Carolina to Houston, Texas, to be near Luckett and her two kids as their relationship grew deeper.
Numerous celebrities attended the wedding, which was originally scheduled to be small with 70 guests but ended up drawing close to 200 on the wedding day. Ms. Tina Knowles, Bun B, LaTavia Roberson, a former DC member, and Toya Wright-Rushing were among those there.
