Singer Teyana Taylor's divorce from former basketball player Iman Shumpert has been finalized, as per an exclusive report by The Jasmine Brand. Taylor, 33, will receive a seven-figure settlement, as a Fulton County judge decided. The couple has two children, and Taylor will receive $8,000 monthly in child support.
It has further been reported that Teyana Taylor filed for divorce from the ex-NBA player, back in 2023, in quite a secretive manner.

Teyana Taylor's ex-husband, Iman, was born in 1990 in Illinois. He played high school basketball with Evan Turner and achieved three conference titles as a teenager. In 2008-2009, he was his school's fourth-leading scorer.
Despite a knee injury, he returned in 2010-2011. He started his NBA career with the New York Knicks and moved to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2015 after a series of injuries.
With the Cavaliers, Iman signed a contract extension of $40 millions. The former player, whose career lasted till 2021, earned a total of $48 million as his NBA salary. In 2016, Iman got hitched to Teyana Taylor. The former couple welcomed their first child in 2015 and the second one in September 2020. They also had their own reality show titled Teyana and Iman, which was aired in 2018.
The divorce was filed by Taylor in January 2023, however, public didn't know about it until November the same year. In a court filing recently, Iman claimed that he earned half of what Teyana earned each month. Thus, he requested for some flexibility in the child support amount. According to Iman, while he earned about $48,000 every month, Teyana Taylor earned $94,000.
The singer further claimed that her former husband had withdrawn about $4 million, from their shared account. She further mentioned that Iman had allegedly left her with some expensive home repairs that totalled to about $200,000.
As a part of the settlement, Iman will retain Miami condo along with the ownership of his South Georgia Compound and Decatur, Georgia Compound. The court has ordered the former NBA player to play the private school fees of both the daughters, completely. Taylor, on the other hand has received several vehicles and will be retaining her jewelry too.
Teyana Taylor claimed that Iman's "cruel treatment" was the reason behind the divorce
Teyana had reportedly cited that Iman was not treating her well, which eventually led to their divorce. She claimed that the former NBA player was jealous and became narcissistic. According to Teyana, he constantly felt that he wasn't good enough for her and got bothered when photographers asked him to step out of the frame so that they could click the 33-year-old singer.
TMZ have an insight into the court documents filed by Teyana Taylor, according to which,
"[Shumpert began] treating her cruelly and displaying extreme narcissistic behavior throughout the majority of their marriage."
The singer had further accused Iman of infidelity in the marriage, after they had their second child. However, contrary to this statement, she previously claimed that infidelity wasn't a reason that they were getting separated.
She further revealed that she had thought of divorce twice in the past, before finally going for it last year. Along with several allegations against Iman, Teyana accused him of abusing her emotionally and mentally.
Tanya Mitchell Graham, her lawyer issued a statement last year in November, which read:
"Ms. Taylor requests that the parties’ privacy be respected such that the parties and their minor children are not negatively impacted, and the parties’ divorce can be finalized."
Iman's attorney, Stephen C. Steele told TMZ back then,
"Mr. Shumpert hopes parties and counsel can work toward a fair resolution, keeping the best interests of the children of paramount concern."
In the divorce filing, Teyana Taylor had asked for the primary custody of her kids, along with regular child support.
