Kris’ representative confirmed the news of his death and stated that he passed away “peacefully” at his home in Hawaii. The representative also confirmed that Kris’ demise took place on Saturday, September 28, 2024, while his family members surrounded him.

The statement also read:

"We’re all so blessed for our time with him. Thank you for loving him all these many years, and when you see a rainbow, know he’s smiling down at us all.”

While neither the family of the singer nor the representative revealed the cause of his passing away, the family also released a statement to CBS News and said:
