TMZ obtained an emergency call made by his girlfriend, Amber Williams, who told 911 that Quan had slept on the couch the night before and didn't move when she got up in the morning to take their son to school.

However, Amber Williams, who sounded shaken on the phone call, reveals that as she got back home after dropping the kid, she placed a blanket over Rich Homie, and just couldn’t feel a heartbeat. She also reported to 911 about how the rapper was not breathing.

She said in the audio recording:

“When I turned him over, he kind of foamed at the mouth.”

No cause of death revealed in Rich Homie Quan’s case: Autopsy likely to take place on September 6, 2024

As the popular rapper passed away suddenly, the authorities have not yet revealed a cause of death. However, Page Six has reported that the autopsy will be taking place on Friday, September 6, 2024.

In the audio call, the 911 operator asked Amber to lay Rich Homie Quan flat and wait for the paramedics to arrive. However, as soon as the medical team reached the couple’s home, the rapper was declared dead on the spot.

Rich Homie AKA Dequantes Devontay Lamar was born in 1990, and was 33 years old at the time of his passing. Having started his career in 2011, he released his first hit song in 2013, called Type of Way. Moving forward, he released many hit tracks like Flex, Still Goin’ In, I Promise I Will Never Stop Going In, Walk Thru and many more.

For his work in music, the rapper had received multiple awards and nominations, including the BET Awards and the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
