Post Malone recently labeled having a daughter "the most amazing thing." The Sunflower hitmaker, during an appearance on CBS Mornings on August 11, opened up about his family and how having a daughter has changed his life.

Malone, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, shares his two-year old daughter with his fiancee whose identity has been kept secret.

"It changes your life in the best way ever. And the most beautiful thing is, she has a beautiful mom," said Malone in his interview.

The singer recalled a difficult time in his life and how having a family has helped with his mental health.

"Four years ago, I was on a rough path. I don’t feel like that anymore, and it’s the most amazing thing," the singer added.

Post Malone welcomed his daughter in May 2022. While the singer did not share an official birth announcement at the time, he revealed he has a daughter during an appearance on the The Howard Stern Show in June 2022.

While talking to GQ in October 2022, the singer revealed the challenges he faces balancing being on the road and parenthood.

"It's really tough not being able to see her, but she's coming out more often now. I'm just happy to see her. But it is heartbreaking having to leave and not be able to be with her all the time."

When Alex Cooper, host of the Call Her Daddy podcast, asked Post in August 2023 what his biggest fear is, he mentioned it to be "not being able to be there for my baby." Post Malone also slowed down on drinking to take better care of his body.

Although the singer has kept the identity of his baby mother anonymous, Malone talked about how he proposed to her during an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast in August 2023.

"It was in [Las] Vegas. I had lost a significant amount of money at the table. We go upstairs and I’m off my rocker hammered and I was like, ‘Hey, you wanna marry me?' I got a ring and all this stuff."

However, his fiancee said "No" and told him to ask her tomorrow. Once Post proposed again after sobering up, she said yes. Post also said he always wanted kids and a big family.

The singer hasn't revealed his daughter's name to the public yet, but tattoed her initials "DDP" on his forehead in October 2022. His upcoming country album, includes a song Yours, which he wrote as a tribute to his daughter.
