Trick Daddy was recently criticized by the public after he posted something on social media that was found to be objectionable. The rapper, who is 50 years old, gained recognition for his singles such as Let's Go, I'm a Thug, and I'm So Hood.

Also known as Maurice Samuel Young, he shared a selfie featuring GloRilla through his Instagram page on August 16, 2024. The latter was spotted wearing a white outfit with a smile on her face and the caption reads:

"Damn Glo I'm loving this bathroom @glorillapimp."

GloRilla originally posted the photo back on July 3 this year and wrote:

"Showing off my moose knuckle."

While Trick Daddy was seemingly trying to compliment GloRilla, netizens were frustrated with his action, and they reacted in the comments section of his post, with some of them addressing the age gap between the duo. A few users reminded Maurice that GloRilla's age was the same as his daughter and others made fun of what he did.

Trick Daddy shows his support towards Sexyy Red after the latter was snubbed at the BET Awards

Sexyy Red's fans were expecting her to win Best New Artist at the BET Awards on June 30, 2024. The award was instead given to Tyla, and Red's followers took to social media to express their criticism of the same. Notably, Red was already nominated in multiple categories such as Best Collaboration and Best Female Artist.

One of the reasons why Red's fans wanted her to win the award was her mixtape, In Sexyy We Trust, which received positive feedback. In between all this, Trick Daddy showcased his support for Sexyy Red as he appeared in an episode of the podcast, B*tch I Got My Pots.

Trick admitted that Red was snubbed at the awards ceremony and described her as "one of the most hottest female rappers." He further stated:

"Sexyy Red was up for the rapper, entertainer, performer. One of 'em other year. I remember last year, they was hating on her since she wasn't making, now I can't go in a club. I can't step in a club without hearing some Sexyy Reds."

Furthermore, Samuel Young recalled the time when he had to go through the same things after entering the world of music. He said that there were people involved with the award shows who came to him, saying that he could not emerge as the winner in any category. He continued:

"Y'all snubbed her and y'all gave her award to somebody else. So somebody told me, 'Well, the other girl is international', but God damnit international. This is not so international award show. She's international s*t. I don't like sh*t like that."

Trick Daddy has released eight albums in his career

The Miami, Florida native managed to deliver multiple hits over the years. Trick's musical journey dates back to the 90s when he made a guest appearance in a single titled Scarred. The song was released by rapper Luke, also known as Luther Roderick Campbell.

Trick Daddy was the eldest child in the family and had ten siblings. He addressed the same in an interview with Vice Magazine in April 2021 and said:

"Words like "babysitter" and "nanny" might as well have been Spanish to me. My mama would say, Lock my door and don't open it nobody. It was never, Mama, I want this. It was always, Mama, what else we need. I wanted to tell [people] that story."
