Kodak Black showed his generous side over the weekend by offering a discounted performance fee for one fan for their child's birthday party. During an Instagram Live session, the rapper announced that he would perform for just $11K for one lucky fan, as opposed to his standard performance fee of $300,000.
“Alright, $11,000. That’s a f***ing great deal. I charge $300,000 for a show. So, when I’m telling you s*** like this here, hurry up and jump on it,” he said.
In addition to the reduced performance fee, Black also offered $50,000 features to 10 aspiring rappers.
Kodak Black will join Sexyy Red on her tour
Sexyy Red is gearing up for her 'Sexyy Red 4 President Tour,' slated to kickstart in Seattle on August 22, 2024. Kodak Black is the latest artist to join her roster for the tour, which also includes BlakeIANA, Hunxho, and Loe Shimmy as a part of the opening act.
The duo announced the news on social media on July 28, 2024, with the caption:
"ITS DA HOOD HOTTEST PRINCESS AND DA PROJECT BABY!!! WE OUTSIDE FA DA TOUR TICKETS IN MY BIO!!"
This announcement comes amid speculations that the tour might be canceled due to poor ticket sales. Sexyy Red has dismissed these rumors, adding she will not be canceling the tour as the tickets are selling out without a hitch.
In the announcement video, Kodak Black is seen wearing a hat that reads, "Make America Sexyy Again," a play-off of Republican nominee Donald Trump's slogan, "Make America Great Again."
This is noteworthy as Kodak Black is a staunch Trump supporter after the then-president pardoned him for buying a weapon using forged documents in January 2021. Additionally, Black spoke up after Trump's assassination attempt and recently released t-shirts sporting the rapper in Trump's famous raised fist pose.
As reported by XXL, on May 17, Kodak Black briefly discussed his political views with a reporter, suggesting that Trump should remain president for 20 years. The rapper added:
"We should have Donald Trump for like 20 years like how Russian and all that s**t be doin'. Four years ain't enough time for a president. That ain't enough time for a muthaf***a to fix what the last president done did. So I'm gon' need Trump way more than four years."
During his Instagram Live over the weekend, he confirmed he would vote for Trump in the upcoming elections, choosing him over Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee.
Kodak Black also defended Trump after fellow rapper Plies criticized the former president. On July 14, 2024, he took to an Instagram live session to say:
“We ain’t gon’ for no Trump slander, bruh. You gotta get off that s*** Plies. Trump ain’t did nuthin’ to you, you feel me? You rich, bruh, we rich. Fall back, love, ’cause s*** can get mafioso, boy.”
Kodak Black, whose real name is Bill Kahan Kapri, released his debut mixtape, Project Baby, in December 2013. In October 2015, he signed with Atlantic Records and released his debut album, Painting Pictures, in 2017. His latest album, When I Was Dead, was released in 2023.
