Rising hip-hop sensation Ken Carson has taken an unexpected approach to handling a recent blackmail attempt.

On January 9, 2024, Ken Carson, whose real name is Kenyatta Lee Frazier Jr., took to his Instagram account to share a direct message conversation with an alleged hacker.

The person subtly threatened to release Carson's music snippets before their official release. In response, Carson confidently replied to the individual and posted the conversation on social media.

"I ain't reading all that lil bra," Carson replied.

This alleged hacking and blackmail attempt followed an interview Carson gave in November 2024 with Pitchfork, where he revealed plans to release his fourth studio album, More Chaos, in early 2025. Carson mentioned that he had been working on the album for over a year.

Ken Carson confronts alleged hacker over song leaks

On Thursday, January 9, 2025, Ken Carson took to his Instagram account and shared an Instagram conversation with an alleged hacker, whose account was named @agreatchaos, which has now been disabled or removed.

The alleged hacker initially started the conversation by indicating they just wanted to hear the song and promised not to do anything with the snippets. They claimed that after hearing the songs, they would return them to Carson.

However, it seems Carson did not reply, prompting the person to subtly threaten to leak the songs. The alleged hacker suggested they could do more than just access Instagram accounts. The person wrote:

"Not a leaker. Just want for my ears. No snippet will surface from anything you send me. Let's get over with ken everything will be returned and songs will be safe. Ken this taking so long. I can do a lot more than get into instagram accounts, this was just a place to contact you form."

They continued:

"All i'm saying is I don't want to have to do anything else, you don't have to deal with anything else, Let's get over this with."

As a response, Ken Carson indicated that he was refusing to read the messages the person had sent. He also suggested that the alleged hacker was hacking everyone's accounts for no reason.

"You gonna be hacking everybody for no reason. All my sh*t already hacked. I don't see you taking a w here," Carson responded.

Ken Carson did not share what the person further replied, nor did he suggest if they had additional conversations. This is not the first time Carson has faced such issues; he has always been vocal about leaks.

In 2023, during an interview with Complex, Carson addressed the issue of leaked songs and suggested that such incidents delay album releases. He also noted that once a song is leaked, it no longer belongs to the artist.

"F*ck a leak, f*ck a hacker. You're really delaying somebody's album. One a leaker or hacker gets your song, it's not even your song anymore," Carson said.

As of now, nothing has been unlawfully leaked from his highly anticipated fourth studio album. On November 4, 2024, Ken Carson, during an exclusive interview with Pitchfork, revealed the release of his album, which is an extended version of his previous deluxe edition album, A Great Chaos, released in 2023.

While speaking about the fourth studio album, Carson mentioned that he is being signed by Playboi Carti's record label. However, it is not yet known when he will officially be signed, but the interview indicated that the album will drop in early 2025.
