As Sean "Diddy" Combs continues to face a slew of lawsuits that include s*xual assault and violence, a former Bad Boy Entertainment producer turned pastor, Rod Long, claims to have witnessed ritualistic practices at the rapper's studio. In an interview released on October 17, 2024, with Tomi Arayomi, Long discussed working with Diddy in the music industry.
Arayomi, a YouTuber and self-proclaimed "prophet," questioned his guest about his take on the environment of the whole industry from the perspective of a clergyman. Long explained:
"One thing that I experienced is that this whole thing is spiritual. Most people would just attribute it to being gifted or being talented, but spirit realm very much controls what it sounds like, what it looks like... what happens in these rooms, on these records, what's written."
Long, a pastor at the RIG Global Church in Houston, Texas, recounted the time he produced his first record for Bad Boy Entertainment (Combs' label). He stated that he was in the studio four days straight without sleep. Elaborating on the cause, he added:
"I was driven by something more than just my own ability. It was something driving me driving me driving me. I believe it was a demonic spirit in the sense that if I wasn't in those realms I couldn't hear the music like that. I couldn't hear it as clear."
Pastor Long continued:
"There were certain sounds and certain things I could hear and produce that if I wasn't in that mind frame I wouldn't be able to produce."
In his interview, Long explained that he was working for Diddy when the rapper went by the name, Puff Daddy. He added that he did not have frequent one-on-one interactions with the rapper as he was not a part of his "inner circle." However, he noted that Diddy did encourage and praise him and his colleagues for their work.
Pastor Rod Long claimed that people held séances in Diddy's studios
When Tony Arayomi questioned the pastor about what got him into the mind frame that the latter was talking about, he responded:
"That would be focus. Just almost channeling something else, weed, getting in the studio and just channeling it, just pulling it out"
He claimed that when he got better at it, he could create something in five minutes and it would be "some of the most amazing music (he has) ever heard."
Arayomi later asked Long to explain his claims of seeing people do séances over their music and what that looked like. The pastor alleged that everyone would be in the studio surrounded by lit candles with their hands moving as they would chant "different things over the music" before it went to the writers.
Long described the whole event as "ritualistic." He also alleged that people don't go to such "realms" without "supernatural aid or a supernatural guide."
Earlier in his interview, the pastor detailed one of the earliest times meeting the rapper. It was a party in Miami where Combs entered and asked everyone what kind of girls they wanted. He mentioned that later those girls would show up, adding:
"I believe these girls came specifically to do whatever we wanted them to do."
Long asserted that if he had "taken" the various "sacrifices" like the "different s*xcapades" then he would have just continued and never left.
He also alleged that his last straw was during a trip to Las Vegas, which ended in him leaving without telling anyone. After unsuccessfully trying to convince Long to come back, they allegedly threatened his family and friends. However, after a while, it stopped, and Long got out.
In addition to the numerous lawsuits, federal officers arrested Diddy last month on the charges of s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Per his unsealed indictment, Combs allegedly ran a "criminal enterprise" that s*xually abused "women and others" by force, coercion, or fear.
This reportedly included participating in "elaborate and produced s*x performances" at Diddy's parties for the benefit of the rapper and his guests.
Federal authorities began investigating the music mogul after several lawsuits alleging r*pe and abuse were filed against him. This included his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
Diddy is currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His trial is set to begin next May.
