Perrie Edwards left her fans excited as she spoke to Zach Sang and revealed that she is making new music, which will be released soon. In the interview published on YouTube on June 25, 2024, Perrie spoke about her first-ever solo album, Forget About Us, and also gave an insight about her new song, which she “can’t even listen to without crying.”
Stating how she wrote the song over a long-lost friendship, Perrie stated:
“A friendship I no longer have anymore, I wrote a song about that. I can’t even listen to that song without crying… It is about them and how, just no matter what, we didn’t see eye to eye… There was no communicating there, it’s a really sad song. I hope one day we can connect again and it can be good, but right now it’s just not, it wasn’t good.”
“Hear a few home truths about themself, maybe it will help that person grow… I’m open to speaking again, I don’t know if they would be after they hear the song cause I’ve just been very honest about the situation," she continued.
As the clip where Perrie Edwards talks about the “long-lost friendship” started doing the rounds on social media, many fans and followers started speculating if the singer was referring to her former bandmate, Jesy Nelson. However, Perrie has not revealed the name of her “friend” yet.
