On October 3, 2024, deceased rapper Lucas Coly's talent manager posted on Instagram that the well-known rapper had recently committed su*cide. In a since-deleted Facebook post, the manager also asked everyone to pray for Coly's girlfriend, Amber H.
Later, a heartbroken Amber took to Instagram Live on October 5 and opened up about her partner's tragic death. During the Live, she said,
"I did everything I could to keep him here and I promise but at some point when a person is now letting you know they'll take the both of you, baby you gotta believe him."
She further continued,
"When I was on the phone and I heard it, I screamed, I said, no, no, no, he did it, he did it. I said, Mom, Mom, call 911."
The Instagram video came in the wake of the rapper's untimely death. On October 4, the Clark County Coroner's Office informed The U.S. Sun that Coly's gunshot wound was self-inflicted.
Lucas Coly's manager also paid tribute to the deceased rapper
Deceased rapper Lucas Coly's girlfriend Amber H recently claimed on Instagram Live that the rapper shot himself while on the phone with her on October 2. This happened after Lucas's body was discovered at his Las Vegas residence on the same day.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, October 3, Coly's manager also announced his passing. He initially posted a picture and included a long message lamenting his untimely passing. As per the U.S Sun, it read,
"Rest in peace @iamlucascoly I love you bro. My heart is ripped in half. Wait for me up there.."
However, the words were later deleted, and a heart emoji was added instead. The manager, whose identity has not yet been made public, expressed his gratitude for getting to work with Lucas and stated in a Threads post that he felt a "hole in [his] heart right now."
He further said,
"Being your manager was one of the reasons I stayed here. There's a hole in my heart right now Lucas. We used to speak on our struggles all the time but smile for the fans. So many people hurt us again and again but we had each other. I don't know what to do now. I'd be a hypocrite if I told you not to, and I go and do the same."
As per The NY Post's October 3 article, the announcement came after Coly's last Instagram Story post in which he uploaded an orange emoji over a black screen with the message "I love y'all," raising concerns from his supporters for his well-being.
According to the Clark County Office of the Coroner and Medical Examiner, the young man shot himself in the head and committed su*cide one day before his manager announced his passing.
Lucas Coly's girlfriend, Amber H, expressed her grief and sadness over the incident
Coly's manager wasn't the only one heartbroken by this incident. The rapper's girlfriend is also devastated. On Thursday night, Amber shared a video of flowers she got along with the song Dancing in the Sky, which is about missing someone who has passed away.
