During Louis Vuitton's Paris Fashion Week show, hip-hop icons Pusha T and No Malice made a statement by carrying purses, sparking a mixture of applause and reactions online.

On June 18, 2024, a dedicated Instagram account for doing impromptu fashion breakdowns, primarily in the chic streets of SoHo, @thepeoplegallery_, shared a clip of the two rappers wearing custom Louis Vuitton and carrying custom Louis Vuitton bags.

One commented under the post suggesting that he adores Pusha and Malice but showed disapproval for the trend of men carrying a bag or purse —

The video clip that garnered attention shows Pusha T and No Malice standing outside the Louis Vuitton Paris Fashion Week venue, flexing the custom editions. The duo wore an all-black custom LV jacket and trousers with custom Adidas shoes.

The standout features of the clip were the bags — Malice carried an all-white Louis Vuitton ostrich leather tote, while Pusha T sported a white Louis Vuitton ostrich leather duffle bag worn cross-body style around his neck.

After showing their fit checks and bags, an off-camera person asked both hip-hop artists to share a fashion tip with the viewers. In response, No Malice suggested to "be yourself" —

"Be yourself. Whatever you feel comfortable in is you."

While Pusha suggested people should always feel like they are in their "pajamas" —

"You always got to feel like you in your pajamas. You ain't coming like that, then it ain't you."

The brothers attended Louis Vuitton's Paris Fashion Week to support Pharrell Williams, the Louis Vuitton men's creative director, as he presented his newest spring/summer 2025 menswear collection for the brand, which kicked off on June 18, 2024.

Push and Malice, also known as Clipse, premiered their second song at LV Fashion Week. The show started with John Legend's The Birds Don't Sing, after 40 minutes of piano keys haunting. Then Pusha T started rapping, where he talked about the passing of his mother, Mildred Thornton, who died in November 2021, as per Billboard.

The rapper hit the bars with grievous lyrics suggesting that "mama's youngest is lost in emotions" —

"Lost in emotion, mama's youngest / Tryna navigate life without my compass / Some experience death and feel numbness / But not me, I felt it all and couldn't function."

Then No Malice takes control of the song in the second verse, where he talks about their father, Elliott Thornton Sr., and his demise, who died in March 2022 —

"Your car was in the driveway, I knew that you were home / By the third knock, a chill ran through my bones / The way you miss mama, I guess I should've known / Chivalry ain't dead, you ain't let her go alone," Malice rapped.

Last year, after debuting at the Louis Vuitton Paris Fashion Week, Pusha T shared with PEOPLE the possibility of premiering an unreleased song at the LV Fashion Week 2024 show —

"I really would love to, man, I really would love to. So that's where you get songs like you heard at the [Louis Vuitton] fashion show. Really, what we've been doing a lot of is just contributing with our friends. Like, 'OK, Pharrell's a creative director of LV, he needs music for the show.' How would we not show up for that?" Push said.

Pharrell Williams inaugurated Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, with an evening show on an outdoor, turf-lined runway at UNESCO headquarters.

The models' skin tones matched their outfits. The collection by Pharrell included silk-like pajama suits and shiny new versions of the pixelated Damier check pattern.
