"I left my (heart) in Lisbon" — Taylor Swift thanks Portuguese fans for making her feel "right at home" during her Eras Tour shows in the country

Taylor Swift is busy with her ongoing Eras Tour and two of the shows were held at Estadio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal on May 24 and 25, 2024. The show witnessed the presence of a huge crowd like the rest and she took to Instagram to express her gratitude towards all those who attended it.

On May 27, the singer shared a lineup of pictures on her Instagram that included glimpses of the Lisbon show and wrote:

"It's official, I left my [heart] in Lisbon. My first time in Portugal and you all made me feel like I was right at home. I'll seriously never forget the way you treated us, the overwhelming love and passion and hands in the air and dancing and how you screamed every lyric!! Muito obrigada."

Apart from the tour, Swift is also enjoying the success of her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department. The album broke many records in terms of sales and streaming and reached the top spot of the US Billboard 200.

As mentioned, Taylor Swift's latest performance in Lisbon was attended by many people. Looking at the positive response, Taylor Swift addressed the audience and the moment was captured in a video shared by a fan account of Swift on X (Twitter).

The West Reading, Pennsylvania native started by recalling the time when she went on tours for her past albums. She stated that she wished that she could've brought all her past tours to the audience in Lisbon.

Taylor Swift also added that she designed the Eras Tour as something that holds all those precious memories from her past tours and that this tour would remain one of her best memories and she is already enjoying it a lot. She then referred to the audience present at the venue and said:

"I've just never seen a crowd like this in my life … There have been moments in this show already where I like, forget what I'm supposed to do next or what I'm supposed to say because I'm just so distracted by how much fun you're having and how you're performing in the audience. I love this."

Furthermore, the artist expressed her wish to perform on the song, All Too Well, which she said she wanted to dedicate to the people attending her performance. She also stated:

"You're just so in the moment and I cannot tell you how special that is for us as performers to get to look out and make eye contact with you and connect with you in this way."

Taylor Swift left an impression on the audience by singing a few of her best tracks, including You're on Your Own, Kid from Midnights, and Long Live from Speak Now. However, the major highlight was a fusion of Now That We Don't Talk and the title track of The Tortured Poets Department.

She also performed a mashup of three songs that included Come Back… Be Here, The Way I Loved You, and The Other Side of the Door. While performing The Tortured Poets Department on guitar, she told the crowd that she was playing the track live for the first time.

Following her stop in Lisbon, the singer is now set to continue her ongoing Eras Tour Madrid, Spain on May 29 and 30.
