Rapper Cardi B was spotted screaming at a resident from her black SUV at 605 West 42nd Street in New York City at around 1 am on July 29, 2024. A pedestrian captured the video of the incident, and it went viral online via New York Post.

As per the video, the commotion started when a resident of the apartment block in the street came down and yelled at everyone to leave the premises. At this point, Cardi B is spotted leaning out of her black SUV in a pink tracksuit. The rapper screamed at the resident:

“I’m recording you b**ch, I’ll f**k you up for real”

As per what an onlooker told the NY Post, there was a "group of people" who came outside the building to take photos. This upset one of the tenants, who "kicked the Cybertruck," leading Cardi to shout at her. The onlooker added that they could not believe it was the rapper herself.

“All of a sudden I heard Cardi’s voice and I was like ‘no way is that her. I turned around to see her and I was like ‘no way, what the f**k? I walked over and I couldn’t believe it was Cardi B," the onlooker told the NY Post.

After the video went viral online, Cardi tweeted to clarify her stance on the entire incident. The rapper claimed that she was trying to defend a group of people who were allegedly harassed by a resident.

Cardi B clarifies her stance after video of her screaming at NYC resident goes viral

Taking to X on August 6, Cardi B explained that she did not approve of people bullying others for no reason. The rapper quoted the viral video of her screaming at a NYC resident and mentioned that people have been trying to make the video look like what it was not.

"I don’t like when people think they can bully people for no reason.. like how you gonna do all that yelling, hit their car, AND call the cops all because they taking pictures in front of a building?!," she tweeted.

Further, she shared a video clip of her own from July 28, which looked like it was allegedly taken at the same venue as her viral video. Cardi once again mentioned she was "defending" the group of people who were taking pictures in front of the building.

"Why y’all trying to make me sound bad?? This was July 28th and I was defending them but ok," her tweet read.

The video appeared to have been taken from the SUV Cardi was traveling in. The rapper is heard saying:

“Why you touching their sh*t? Why you talking to them like that? They not even bothering you."

The rapper continued to repost a tweet allegedly defending her. In the tweet, it was alleged that Cardi was "shouting for a white woman to leave two black women alone."

Cardi B's footage from July 29 resurfaced days after the rapper filed for divorce from her husband, Offset. The couple were married for seven years. The rapper is currently pregnant with their third child.
