A woman named Valerie Greyston went viral on Instagram after pretending to be Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl’s mistress. The former took to the internet to claim that her newborn daughter had been fathered by Grohl and that the infant bears immense resemblance to the musician. This comes after Grohl revealed on social media that he became a parent to a child born outside of his marriage to Jordyn Blum.
On September 11, 2024, an account with the handle @valeriegreyston posted an image online of a newborn holding a woman’s hand, though neither's face was shown.
“My sweet Roxie Junie Grohl, being your mama has already been the most incredible experience of my life. Every day, I fall more in love with you and this new role. Your daddy, was by my side through the entire pregnancy, making sure we were both taken care of, and I’m so grateful for his love and support," Greyston wrote in the caption.
However, after the post went viral online, Greyston was quick to go to her Instagram stories to clarify that her account was “fake.” She added:
“I’m only 16! I just wanted followers, I don’t even listen to foosfighter! Please don’t sue me! Sincere apologies”
Her account has since been deleted from the social networking site.
Valerie Greyston’s viral Dave Grohl post explored as latter’s representatives slam former’s social media post
Dave Grohl’s representatives said in an exclusive statement to TMZ that Valerie Greyston’s social media post was fake.
“Dave’s rep tells TMZ … the IG post claiming Dave’s the father to a baby girl named Roxie Junie Grohl is fake news," the news outlet reported.
The social media post quickly spread online. In it, Valerie Greyston claimed she was new to being a "baby mama" but promised to take good care of the newborn. She also expressed relief that the world now knew about her.
“Roxie, every time I look at you, I see so much of your dad in your phase- it’s like a reflection of him in the tiniest, most beautiful way. From the shape of your eyes to the way your little nose crinkles when you smile, you are truly a Grohl through and through," Valerie had written in her post before deleting the Instagram account.
As rumors of Greyston being the mother of Dave Grohl’s fourth child were debunked by his reps, reports of the latter enlisting a divorce lawyer also made headlines online. The reason for the separation and when exactly he retained legal counsel were not made available online at the time of writing this article.
On Tuesday, September 10, the 55-year-old rockstar said in an Instagram post that he loved his wife and children and was doing everything he could to regain their trust following his extramarital affair with an unknown woman who welcomed a baby daughter. Dave Grohl said online:
“We are grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
Dave Grohl shares three daughters with Blum, namely Violet Maye Grohl, Harper Willow, and Ophelia Saint, who are 18, 15, and 10 years old, respectively.
