Pink, also known as Alecia Beth Hart Moore, has been trending for some time after she removed all posts from her official account on X (formerly Twitter) on September 22, 2024. The news comes after Diddy's arrest on September 16 on accusations of s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Pink was one of those who shared her reaction to the arrest alongside Usher, who also deleted his tweets. Notably, the former's actions led to speculations among the public that she was possibly associated with Diddy in some way.
Before his arrest, Diddy was allegedly under investigation for a long time over allegations of s*xual assault and s*x trafficking. A grand jury indictment was also obtained by Page Six which stated that the rapper reportedly organized alleged s*x events called Freak-Offs.
Pink has now responded to the rumors about her account being wiped out through Instagram on September 26, 2024. She added a screenshot of a post from X that was originally shared in February this year. The post reads:
"This account will self destruct in two minutes. Do it!!!!!!"
Alecia also wrote below the post:
"I don't know why I became a headline this week, but I wiped my Twitter account on February 6!!! There is no truth to the rumors spread this week, and while I've met people in passing, I'm not associated with any of the people mentioned."
The post's comments section has been turned off for unknown reasons. On the other hand, the response has received more than 90,000 reactions so far.
Pink announced her decision to quit X earlier this year
The Doylestown Township native has been busy with the ongoing tour Summer Carnival, which started back in June last year. While she was preparing to perform in Australia in February 2024, she shared two posts on X, revealing that she was quitting the platform.
The posts were later deleted and one of them stated:
"Have you ever been at a party with a bunch of salty old people that never realised their dreams? Where the liquor ran dry ages ago, there's no music – no one's dancing – you would've had more fun at home with your blind cat? That's twitter these days – or whatever it's called now. Byeeeeeeeeeee."
Pink had previously spoken up about her experience with social media in an interview with CBS News in October 2023. She revealed that she received death threats after posting certain messages for her fans and addressed the same by saying that she was still prepared to speak to everyone:
"If I'm a mystery to you, how can I expect you to connect with me? And if I'm a person that's desperate for connection, then why would mystery be interesting to me? I want to know you. I want you to know me."
The 45-year-old's latest album Trustfall, came out in February last year. Apart from the Summer Carnival Tour, Pink has also organized the Trustfall Tour in support of the project. Both the tours are scheduled to end in November 2024.
