Singer Billy Ray Cyrus recently uploaded a throwback photo of himself and his youngest daughter, Noah Cyrus, on Instagram on Thursday, June 27. In the photo, Cyrus gave Noah a special shout-out with a caption that read-
"I'm so proud of this little girl. Noah has grown into an incredible young Lady."
Referring to his duet Stand Still from 2022 with his daughter Noah, he continued-
"Sometimes you gotta take your daughter's advice and just 'Stand Still,' @recordingacademy @columbiarecords."
On the second frame of the same Instagram post, he posted the lyrics from the song that reads,
"Just Stand Still, oh / As you get older, it gets harder to change / You might find yourself alonе with just your shame / But it's not over / It's all gonna be ok / And whеn times are tough remember what I say."
This appreciation post happened amidst Billy Ray Cyrus' separation from Firerose. Geo TV reported that Billy filed for divorce from Firerose in May, claiming that she had verbally, physically, and emotionally assaulted him.
Billy Ray Cyrus appreciated his youngest daughter amid his divorce from Firerose
After filing for divorce from Firerose, Billy Ray Cyrus said he could always rely on his daughter Noah Cyrus for wise counsel in trying times and that he has been drawing on her experience.
The 62-year-old singer posted an old photo of the father-daughter pair on Instagram on Thursday, along with a few lines from her song, Stand Still. The song featured on Noah's 2022 debut album, The Hardest Part, and she later collaborated with Billy Ray on a duet.
According to the picture's description, Billy Ray Cyrus was incredibly proud of Noah, the little child who has grown up to be a remarkable young lady.
In the next picture, he posted the lyrics of the song that read-
"Just Stand Still, oh / As you get older, it gets harder to change / You might find yourself alonе with just your shame / But it's not over / It's all gonna be ok / And whеn times are tough remember what I say. My grandfather told my father, 'It don't get easier, just harder / Yes, it will, remember just stand still / And when all the hope and joy you feel turns into paranoia / 'Cause it will, remember just stand still."
Nevertheless, Billy Ray did not say why he needed Noah's advice right now. Meanwhile, the post was uploaded two weeks after it was revealed that Billy Ray had secretly filed for divorce from his partner. US Weekly revealed on June 11 that just seven months after they got married in October 2023, Cyrus took the step on May 23.
Billy Ray Cyrus reportedly wanted divorce due to "inappropriate marital conduct." On the other hand, according to court fillings, the couple are currently involved in a heated legal dispute, with each side accusing the other of alleged "abuse."
It was further revealed that Billy Ray Cyrus claimed Firerose was the source of alleged fraudulent credit card charges. He asked the court for a restraining order against her once it was later verified.
On the other hand, the same source stated that Firerose reportedly responded with countercharges, claiming that she had experienced "extreme" domestic abuse during her marriage to Billy Ray.
The Hannah Montana star's legal team declared-
"We regret that Ms. Hodges has chosen to litigate this 7-month marriage in the press and has left Mr. Cyrus with no recourse but to set the record straight."
Nevertheless, Firerose's attorneys have not replied to the charges against her.
Billy Ray Cyrus' daughter, singer, and star of Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus, has maintained silence regarding her father's divorce with Firerose.
