Snoop Dogg, or Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., has recently reiterated that he has no beef with comedian Dave Blunts after the latter called Snoop out over past remarks. Blunts is known for his witty raps about his hometown Davenport, while Snoop Dogg has lately been in the limelight for his social media presence.
The back-and-forth between the two started when Snoop Dogg shared a video of Dave Blunts performing his song The Cup at a show. The former shared the clip on November 9 and wrote:
"We’ll put down the chicken wings and Tata chips Nefew and that chair gone break soon get to the end of the cup."
Subsequently, Dave Blunts responded to Snoop during his performance at Juice WRLD Day in Chicago last week, on November 30. While performing with an oxygen tank, the comedian asked the crowd:
"Hey Chicago, do you all have a problem with me sitting down on a stage?"
After getting a 'no' from the crowd, he addressed his taunts at Snoop Dogg, saying:
"Exactly. So, get the f**k off my d**k, Snoop Dogg."
He continued:
"I see the big dog talking. Snoop, you think you funny? You don’t know what it’s like to fight for your life every damn day."
Addressing the oxygen tank next to him, Dave concluded and said:
"I got demons, and a tank to prove it. Don’t come for me when you've been blessed enough to be here that long; respect the struggle."
On December 1, Snoop Dogg reacted to Blunts' comments with a video. After playing the comedian's response in the clip, Snoop said:
"That was funny. Go ahead, lil homie... I mean big homie. Do ya thang, 'cuz, I ain't f**king with you. Have your fun. I apologize to this n***a and he's still going off on me, 'cuz. I must be getting old."
Snoop followed it up with a video on Instagram, singing to the tune of Dave Blunts' track The Cup. However, the rapper put a touch of his own by replacing the words 'the cup' with 'the blunt.'
"I can't put down the blunt... Leave me alone, 'cuz. I'm trying to enjoy my lil' life over here man. Go keep doing your shows, man. Keep rocking and rolling, man. I'm with you, dawg. I ain't against you. I'm with you... I can't put down the blunt and you can't put down the cup," Snoop says in the video.
Dave Blunts saw the lighthearted side of the response, as he commented with a series of laughing emojis on Snoop's post.
