Ozzy Osbourne apologized to Britney Spears weeks after criticizing the pop star's Instagram dance videos, saying that he was "fed up" with watching them on social media. In a preview of the Monday (July 29) episode of The Osbournes Podcast, the Black Sabbath frontman said:
"Britney, I really owe you an apology. I'm so sorry for making that comment."
However, despite showing remorse over his previous comments about the pop star, Ozzy Osbourne stood by his initial remarks. He noted that the singer is doing the same dance every day, to which his podcast co-host and daughter, Kelly Osbourne, jokingly said that sometimes Britney Spears switches it up by dancing with knives.
The 75-year-old Black Sabbath lead vocalist then gave a little advice for the pop star, saying:
"It would be better if you didn't do the same f**king dance every day. Change a few movements."
Despite joking about the singer and her dance videos with his co-hosts and family members including his wife Sharon, and kids Kelly and Jack, Ozzy sincerely told Spears in the podcast that he was sorry. He also called the pop star "beautiful."
Kelly Osbourne added that they apologize if any of their comments "offended' Britney Spears. She mentioned that she loves her dancing and wishes for the pop star to continue doing that if it makes her happy.
Britney Spears' Instagram account is currently unavailable.
Ozzy Osbourne's apology comes weeks after Britney Spears called his family "boring"
Earlier in July, Ozzy Osbourne said in the July 16 episode of their family podcast that he's had enough of Britney Spears' IG dance videos. He pointed out that she did the same dance "every f**king day."
Sharon Osbourne also commented that she feels sorry for the pop star and referred to the Toxic singer as a "poor little thing."
A day after the Osbourne patriarch's comments, Britney Spears ripped the family a new one. In a now-deleted Instagram note, the pop star was quoted saying:
"I'm gonna do a photoshoot with Kate [Beckinsale] and tell the Osbourne family who is the most boring family known to mankind to kindly f**k off!!!"
The singer referenced the British actress and model Kate Beckinsale, who was also nagged by netizens for her social media posts, which they claimed were not "age-appropriate." Spears noted in the post that she knows what it's like to be judged by others and it's important to "HELP EACH OTHER and invite each other to places that help our souls grow."
Ozzy Osbourne's comments about Spears' IG dances came after she shared a throwback video of her dancing to Madonna's hit, I'm Addicted. Meanwhile, in the comments, the pop icon candidly opened up about losing some of her confidence after her divorce, adding that some therapy sessions would benefit her.
