On December 9, TMZ published an article that shared Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda’s claims of Diddy launching the lawsuit against Jay Z. Uncle Murda told the media outlet:
“I think Diddy paid somebody to say that s**t about Jay to get the heat off himself ‘cause Diddy looking bad out here. I think he trying to get the heat on Jay.”
Tony Yayo opined that the lawsuit against Jay Z appears to be a “money grab.”
“For somebody to extort you, send you a letter, and then you gotta send your lawyers, sounds like extortion to me.”
Tony Yayo, whose real name is Marvin Bernard, is a rapper best known for being a member of G-Unit, a hip-hop group he formed alongside 50 Cent and Lloyd Banks.
Similarly, Uncle Murda, whose real name is Leanord Carl Grant, released music under G-Unit after signing a deal in 2016. He was previously signed to Jay Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records.
More about the lawsuit against Jay Z as Uncle Murda and Tony Yayo opine on the same
According to the lawsuit against Jay Z, the alleged victim claimed that she was assaulted at a house party in the presence of an unnamed female celebrity. The original lawsuit that was filed through lawyer Tony Buzbee listed Diddy alone as the defendant. However, it now includes Jay, whose real name is Shawn Carter.
The accuser, who is identified as Jane Doe, claimed that she was asked to sign a document, which she believes was a non-disclosure agreement, before entering the party, according to the lawsuit. Before allegedly assaulting her, Combs told her, “You are ready to party.”
Carter allegedly r*ped her before Combs did the same, all while the female celebrity watched on.
Carter, who is married to Beyoncé, released a statement denying the allegations.
“My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence.
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?”
Combs has similarly denied the allegations as he awaits his May 2025 trial behind bars. The music mogul is facing s*x trafficking and racketeering charges.
