Internet personality Charleston White recently opened up about rapper Lil Durk's arrest on the charges of murder-for-hire. On Friday, October 26, during a video interview with Say Cheese, which was uploaded on X on the same day, he said:

"Us as black people. Yeah, this is a real victory. This is a real victory. Now that demonic force because it is a demonic force, it was a dark force, it was a dark energy that came down from Chicago, and spread throughout America."

Talking about Lil Durk, he continued,

"I think we now finally get to put that fire out. I don't think we'll hear drill music ever again. I don't think drill rappers would ever be celebrated ever again. Down goes the drill. Down goes the drill. 12th round knockout, because it looked like they had got away and they get the ride off into the sunset."

Additionally, in a separate video on X, on October 25, while driving, White further talked about the topic. He implied that because of his prominent position, Durk would need protective custody.

During the October 26 video interview with Say Cheese on X, talking about Lil Durk's arrest, Charleston White, a hip-hop critic, said,

"So this is a victory for law-abiding Black Americans who like hip-hop music but don't like the killing part of it. It's a lot of free dirts right now. The free dirt campaign has begun… Every day, I'm going to wake up trolling because they Black."

Additionally, during another video uploaded on the same platform on October 25, he talked about how happy he was to see Lil Durk arrested and what he views as a double standard. White then infuriated netizens who were celebrating his own arrest on October 12 and further said,

"Ain't nobody laughing at Durk like they was laughing at me when I went to jail. Lord have mercy. So, ain't nobody laughing at Durk. Now, it ain't funny. Now, your favorite rapper go to jail and look like he got a no bond like me…. He gotta burp to pass gas. He can't even f*rt out his a*s. I know the feeling."

White went on to say that public sympathy varies according to a person's fame and status. He then alleged that there's a striking gap between fans' support and the criticism he faced throughout his own legal issues.

He continued by saying fans only love their "favorite rapper," not other rappers. White then mentioned the harsh circumstances of federal custody and the possible reality Durk would encounter. He further said,

"I will never lose in this sh*t. As long as rap exists, I'm gonna have a platform. You n**gas love them rappers but wanna hate the community activist."

He then clarified that public figures often find California's prison system difficult to navigate, and prominent prisoners are often vulnerable to blackmail. He then ended his speech by playing the song All My Life by J. Cole and Lil Durk.

White's remarks have sparked controversy among fans and other netizens. This happened after the arrest of Lil Durk, born Durk Devontay Banks, in Florida on Thursday, October 24. He was charged by federal prosecutors with hiring five associates to murder Quando Rondo as alleged revenge for King Von's gunshot death in 2020.
