Druski recently shared his opinion on Rick Ross's altercation with alleged Drake supporters at the Ignite Music Festival in the Plaza of Nations, Vancouver, on June 30, 2024. TMZ caught up with Druski and DJ Drama at an airport on July 3 and asked them if they had seen the video of Ross getting jumped by Canadians, to which the comedian replied:

"I told y'all don't sleep on those Canadians, I told ya'll."

The physical altercation reportedly started after Rick Ross played Kendrick Lamar's hit Drake diss track, Not Like Us. As Drizzy is Canadian, the situation escalated after people at the festival rose to support their hometown rapper.

Multiple videos of the incident, which circulated on social media, saw the fight get violent as people threw punches at each other. In a video, one man could be seen passed out on the floor, which was likely a result of the fight that broke out.

Rick Ross confirmed no one on his team was seriously hurt

Rapper Rick Ross addressed the altercation in Vancouver with a statement to TMZ on July 1, adding that no one on his team “suffered any serious injuries” during the fight. He also added:

"Vancouver is a beautiful city, and (I) can't wait to go back."

According to CNB News, Ross was headlining the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver, where he reportedly closed his set with Not Like Us, Kendrick Lamar's final diss track that overtook the music industry and dominated the charts for weeks. Lamar also released a music video for the track on July 4, which gained 1.5 million views on YouTube within an hour of its release.

In the video shared on social media, Rick Ross can be seen talking heatedly to a male concertgoer. The conversation escalated as the man tried to punch Ross.

Several clips from the fight showed men throwing punches at each other. Throughout the clips, Not Like Us can be heard playing in the background. Lindsay Sparrow, CFO of event organizer Canadian Events Agency, claimed that the "short altercation" was resolved by security.

"Security did a great job and ... everyone exited safely, which is always our primary concern for everyone attending the festivals," she said.

She added that she was backstage during the altercation and no criminal charges were reportedly pressed. Ross posted a picture to his Instagram stories the following day, showing him leaving the city with his private jet behind him, with the caption:

"Vancouver it was fun, till next time."

Rick Ross and Drake feud explained

Rick Ross and Drake had also been feuding at the same time as Drizzy's battle with Kendrick Lamar. The Canadian rapper took shots at Ross in his diss track Push Ups when he insinuated that he was responsible for all of Ross' hit songs. Push Ups also targeted other artists like Future, Metro Boomin, Lamar, and The Weekend.

The song was allegedly leaked on April 12, and the following day, Rick Ross responded with Champagne Moments, referencing Drake's Instagram username @champagnepapi.

In the track, Ross constantly referred to Drake as "white boy", seemingly a jab at Drizzy for being a biracial man. Drake fired back with Family Matters on May 3, having adopted the moniker with the lyric:

"Ross callin' me the White boy/ And the sh*t kind of got a ring to it."

Rick Ross was also at Kendrick Lamar's Juneteenth concert, 'The Pop Out: Ken & Friends' at Kia Forum in Inglewood, where Lamar performed Not Like Us six times.
