Lily Allen has revealed that she is "spiraling" amidst rumors of a potential divorce from her husband, actor David Harbour. The singer, 39, candidly discussed her struggles with mental health during the January 9, 2025, episode of her Miss Me? podcast co-hosted with Miquita Oliver.

"I’m finding it hard to be interested in anything. I’m really not in a good place. I know I’ve been talking about it for months, but I’ve been spiraling and spiraling. It’s got out of control. I’ve tried," she admitted.

The Smile singer described experiencing panic attacks that forced her to leave social events prematurely. She shared an incident from last month when she had to leave a Christmas lunch early due to a panic attack and another occasion where she walked out of a theater performance at intermission. Allen also announced a temporary break from her podcast to prioritize her well-being.

"I’m going away next week for a few weeks, listeners. But I do want to reassure people—because there will be speculation because of the amount of time I'm going to be taking away—that I’m going to drug rehab: I’ve not relapsed," she said.

She categorically denied internet rumors suggesting that she had been found in a compromising situation by her husband.

Lily Allen takes a hiatus to focus on mental health

Despite her challenges, Lily Allen expressed gratitude for her two daughters, Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 12, whom she shares with ex-husband Sam Cooper. She credited them as a source of strength during difficult times.

"They are always there, and you have to be present and there for them. And that’s OK. When things in life are going well and you’re coping, it’s really nice to have the kids around. They’re a joy to be around," she said.

Lily Allen acknowledged that parenting can be particularly challenging during tough periods. The Grammy nominee also emphasized the importance of fostering open communication within her family.

Speculation about Allen's relationship with Harbour intensified recently, with reports alleging that she caught the Stranger Things star using the celebrity dating app Raya. According to a Daily Mail report dated January 4, 2025, Allen allegedly discovered his activity on the app by creating her own profile to cross-check.

"Lily was looking for women that were on Raya and cross-referencing them with women David follows on Instagram to try to figure out who he was seeing," a friend of Allen’s reportedly told the outlet.

Neither Lily Allen nor David Harbour's representatives have commented on these allegations.

In the podcast, Allen vaguely referenced her marriage while discussing her travels. She mentioned visiting Kenya after a holiday in India with David Harbour but struggled to articulate the relationship's current status. Allen's decision to disconnect from her phone during her upcoming hiatus reflects her desire to find mental clarity.

Lily Allen expressed concerns about the impact of phone use, emphasizing its detrimental effects on her mental health. She shared her anticipation for her upcoming break, where she plans to disconnect entirely from her phone for a few weeks.
