As Jay-Z continues to face the heat due to the alleged s*xual assault lawsuit after a woman amended her original lawsuit on Sunday, December 8, 2024, Meek Mill took to X and slammed the American media by calling it “programming.”

Meek Mill wrote:

“The goal is to start false narrative to create a matrix web …. If you can control the story line you can control the matrix …. American media is totally unbelievable! I see “Jayz “ _____ a 13 year old girl 300 times scrolling it’s called programming.”

The tweets came in after a woman refiled her lawsuit by adding Jay-Z’s name to the list of defendants, as previously, only Diddy was named as the alleged assaulter. The edit was made on December 8, 2024, while the original lawsuit was filed by “Jane Doe” and her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, in October 2023.

Now naming the Empire State Of Mind rapper in the civil lawsuit, the woman and Tony Buzbee claimed that “Jane Doe” was a minor when she was allegedly assaulted by Jay-Z and Diddy back in 2000. The lawsuit stated that the 13-year-old approached Diddy’s driver to help her get inside the MTV Video Music Awards afterparty, after which she was taken to a house filled with celebrities allegedly indulging in liquor and drugs.

Notably, Meek Mill's post defending the 55-year-old rapper came just weeks after he wished Puffy "well," as he tweeted on November 21, 2024, claiming that "they putting black men in jail off stories." Furthermore, Meek Mill was also a part of Jay-Z's Roc Nation. However, he parted ways with the label in July 2022.

Details about Jay-Z's assault lawsuit explored

Identified as Jane Doe, the woman claims she was 13 years old when she was allegedly assaulted by Combs and Jay-Z at an afterparty following the 2000 Video Music Awards. In her lawsuit, she alleges she felt dizzy after drinking at the party and ended up in a nearby bedroom. CNN reported that according to the amended lawsuit, Jay-Z allegedly assaulted her first, followed by Combs.

As per news outlet Marca, the accuser also mentioned that a "female celebrity" continued to look as the assault took place. She mentioned that she managed to flee the party and then called her father from a nearby gas station.

Furthermore, Jane Doe also talked about a “non disclosure agreement,” and alleged that she was forcefully made to sign it as a condition to enter the party.

However, as the lawsuit was amended and Jay-Z’s name was added to the defendants, the rapper refuted the claims and added how the lawyer, Tony Buzbee, is “shamelessly attempting to extort exorbitant sums from him or else publicly file wildly false horrific allegations against him.”

In a statement to NBC, Jay-Z said:

“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whoever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case. My only heartbreak is for my family."

He also added:

“You have made a terrible error in judgement thinking that all “celebrities” are the same. I am not from your world. I’m a young man who made it out of the project of Brooklyn. We don’t play these types of games. We have a very strict codes and honor. We protect children.”

Furthermore, Diddy’s lawyers have also denied the claims in the lawsuit. However, the rapper remains behind bars, even after several attempts at bail by his lawyers. As per the United States Attorney's Office (Southern District of New York), Diddy was arrested on September 16, 2024, following a grand jury indictment in New York on charges of racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
