Ab-Soul was one of the rappers present in Kendrick Lamar's iconic The Pop Out: Ken & Friends concert after his infamous beef with Drake simmered down. Kendrick even rapped his diss track 6.16 in LA directly to Ab-Soul just before calling all the rappers on stage and clicking the iconic group photo that has gone viral among hip-hop fans across the world.
Despite the connection with Lamar, Ab-Soul has a lot of respect for Drizzy and recently opened up about his faith in the 6 God rapper in an X rant. However, the 37-year-old opined that it was only possible if Drake is the best version of himself which Ab-Soul 'imagines he can be.'

However, the rapper didn't want to be taken out of context and also made sure to mention his confidence in Kendrick Lamar. According to him, Drake never had a chance against Kendrick and he mentioned it in fear of being misconstrued.
"But b4 my rant gets out of context. He could never Fucc wit da Gang’Nem on sum rap shyt. That was Never a question," clarified Ab-Soul.
Finally, the Illuminate rapper quoted a line from 6.16 in LA highlighting the magnanimity of the rap battle between Kendrick and Drake, with many fans voting it as one of the most important feuds in the history of hip-hop.
“This was not a rap battle. It was scripture,” tweeted the rapper.
