On August 11, at a private Vultures 2 party held in Los Angeles, Kanye West premiered a new song with British grime MC Skepta. Available footage from the event captured the lyrics of the song titled Cash Cow. The lyrics went as Skepta rapped:
"How we livin? / I’m never quittin’ / Feel like whippin’ / Rollie ain’t tickin’ / 818 sippin’ / Sauce spinnin'."
Sources report that it is unclear if the track will be a part of Vultures 3 or an addition by Kanye to the existing Vultures 2. The video made netizens excited as they reacted on social media. Here are some of the online responses to the new track:
"This feels like a dream holy f*ck."
"Sounds like blacklisted skepta😍," added a tweet.
"Probably the two most important and influential rappers either side of the pond," wrote another user.
"You kidding me. My 2 favourite 😍," mentioned a user.
While many netizens expressed their excitement for the new track featuring Kanye West and Skepta, a few others had a different take on it. One user wrote:
"Whats the influence of skepta I don’t know at all?"
"Please god don’t make kanye hop on this," said another user.
"Can he collab with anyone else 😭," added a tweet.
Everything to know about Kanye West's private Vultures 2 listening party
As mentioned, Kanye West organized a listening party for the latest studio album Vultures 2, released by supergroup ¥$. The supergroup includes two popular rappers - Ye and Ty Dolla $ign. The studio album, released on August 3, was the one dropped by the supergroup.
While a clip of the event went viral, where Kanye West could be seen playing Cash Cow, featuring Skepta, it is worth knowing even more about the Sunday event. West's wife, Bianca Censori, also arrived at the event with her sisters Angelina and Alyssia. Censori was seen wearing a ripped beige dress and her husband Kanye was wearing an oversized hoodie and a pair of matching joggers.
Talking about Kanye and Skepta, they have been acquainted with each other for a long time. The duo had never been a part of a project until recently. However, in August 2021, Skepta posted a snippet of Ye jumping on the remix version of Piece Of Mind, on his Instagram story.
The duo performed together at the BRIT Awards back in 2015. In 2013, Kanye West told MTV UK:
"I think he’s one of the few Americans that are free. A lot of artists … we get into the music industry and think we’ve got this blueprint that we have to follow. But [with] Kanye West, I just feel like every time he brings a CD out, it might not be for everyone … but it’s always fresh, it’s always free."
Fans now have to wait and see how Ye will introduce the track officially. No official statement about the track has been made by the rapper as of now.
