Hip-hop icon Eminem released his brand-new album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace) earlier this month where he threw shots at rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs multiple times.
For instance, in the single Antichrist, Eminem referenced the viral video of Diddy assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel hallway.
“Next idiot ask me is gettin’ his a*s beat worse than Diddy did/ But on the real, though/ She prolly ran out the room…” Slim Shady rapped.
Em also dissed Diddy in the single Fuel where he mentioned his ongoing lawsuits and insinuated that the latter was trying to get Tupac Shakur’s suspected killer Keefe D eliminated to prevent his own incrimination.
“Wait, he didn’t just spell the word, “Rapper” and leave out a P, did he? (Yep)/ R.I.P., rest in peace, Biggie/ And Pac, both of y’all should be living/ But I ain’t tryna beef with him/ ‘Cause he might put a hit on me like Keefe D did/ And that’s the only way you’re gonna be killing me,” Em rapped.
Besides, M&M also took a dig at Diddy in his latest single Bad One. However, this is not the first time he dissed the Bad Boy Records owner. Earlier, in 2018, he dropped Diddy’s name several times in his song Killshot and issued warnings about his controversial past.
In the wake of Eminem's nearly prophetic lyrics about Diddy, the internet is now having diverse reactions. For instance, an X user claimed that Slim Shady was aware of everyone’s secrets in the industry.
“Imagine all the hip-hop secrets Eminem knows about the industry,” the person wrote.
Several others joined in the conversation and shared similar opinions.
“It’s been a rumor for many years, but yeah, I guess Eminem brought it back to light for the newer generation,” one person wrote.
“Been known that and still listen to it too. Eminem prolly knows hell secrets he’s one of the OGs in the game,” another person wrote.
“Yeah, he’s been around for a while. He knows things,” a person wrote.
Others praised Em’s “bars” calling them both “insane” and funny.
“I bursted out laughing when I heard that bar, lmao,” an individual wrote.
“This bar was insane,” another individual wrote.
Some even claimed that Em’s lyrics about Diddy were based on facts and it was him who "dared" to shade him.
“It’s not slander if it’s true,” a netizen wrote.
“He’s not wrong,” another netizen wrote.
"Eminem [has] been going at Diddler for quite some time and only he dared to diss him," one netizen wrote.
An X user even wanted a 50 Cent and Slim Shady collab diss track on Diddy.
“I desperately need Eminem and 50 Cent to make a song called ‘Diddy Do It’ where they go in on Diddy,” he wrote.

In 2018, Eminem dropped a diss track against rival rapper Machine Gun Kelly called Killshot which was part of an album having the same name. It was a response to MGK’s Eminem diss track RAP DEVIL. In it, Em shaded Diddy who had recently signed MGK to his record label.
“But, Kells, the day you put out a hit’s the day Diddy admits/ That he put the hit out that got Pac killed, ah/ I’m sick of you bein’ wack…” he rapped.
Slim Shady further added:
“Got more fans than you in your own city, Lil Kiddie, go play/ Feel like I’m babysitting Lil Tay/ Got the Diddy okay, so you spent your whole day/ Shooti’ a video just to f*ckin’ dig your own grave.”
Fast forward to July 2024, Em dissed Diddy more than once in at least three of his singles from the recent album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace).
For instance, the 16th single Bad One featuring Bronx-based rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer White Gold, has references to Diddy allegedly planting a bomb in rapper Kid Cudi's car when the latter was reportedly dating Diddy’s former girlfriend Cassie.
“The f*cking bomb word to Puffy, I’m/ I’m blowing up like Kid Cudi’s car/ In front of his house where all his buddies are,” Em rapped.
Elsewhere, M&M also dissed Diddy on his 8th and 9th singles Antichrist and Fuel (featuring Atlanta rapper JID) respectively. In the former, he mentioned Diddy’s assault on Cassie, while in the latter, he hinted that the Bad Boy Records founder was involved in Tupac’s 1996 murder.
Notably, Slim Shady and Sean Combs have been past collaborators and worked on a 2010 remix of Hello Good Morning from the latter’s Last Train to Paris album.
