On June 23, Florida rapper and emcee Julio Foolio was out at night celebrating his 26th birthday when a group of masked assailants opened fire at him and three of his companions at a hotel parking lot in Tampa Bay. While the rest suffered injuries, Foolio succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds at the scene.
On July 6, his family and friends held a private funeral service for him in his hometown, Jacksonville, Florida, the images and videos from which have now gone viral.
One shows Julio’s custom-made casket with his murals printed on it. In another, a horse-drawn carriage was revealed to be carrying the casket to the cemetery while his loved ones were preparing to release white doves in the air.
Not only that but clips of his close friends and family singing and dancing to Julio Foolio's diss track, When I See You, targeted at his longtime rival Yungeen Ace, have also garnered severe traction online.
Meanwhile, Julio Foolio’s Instagram account has remained active. It is seemingly being operated by an alleged hacker who has made several unsettling/cryptic posts, including claiming that Foolio is a demigod. Recently, the person even shared a news grab from the rapper’s funeral on Instagram Story and wrote:
“The best [fuel pump emoji] to [smoke emoji] on. Funeral?? Or the best music video coming soon.”
The alleged hacker also commented under No Jumper’s post on the same by reiterating, “That’s the best fuel to smoke on. Trust me.”
