Cam’Ron made his way into the headlines after he posted an edited photo of Gillie Da Kid with R. Kelly, the former singer with multiple s*xual abuse cases against him. In the picture, the two are holding hands, as Cam’Ron captioned the image,

However, Gillie Da Kid also took the edited picture as a joke and commented on Cam’Ron’s post, stating,

As soon as the image caught the eye of the masses, several comments poured in on Cam’Ron’s post. One social media user also commented and said,

This is not the first time that R. Kelly’s name has been brought in by Gillie Da Kid as a joke, as when Druski appeared on Million Dollaz Worth of Game earlier this year, Gillie showed him a picture of Druski with R. Kelly, however, he later revealed that it is doctored.
On the other hand, Cam’Ron and Gillie’s friendship goes way back, as Hot New Hip Hop commented that Cam once mentioned Gillie’s name and spoke about how he helped him and Ma$e reconcile their friendship.
R. Kelly, the popular Grammy award-winning singer, was convicted in 2022 on several charges of s*x trafficking, racketeering, child abuse, s*xual abuse, and s*xual misconduct. For the same, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison. The singer is currently serving his time in the federal prison in North Carolina.
