On May 16, DJ Akademiks appeared on the Full Send podcast and talked about Drake’s unique sleep schedule. The internet personality mentioned that he got acquainted with the Toronto rapper’s nap routine during one of their earliest over-the-phone interactions.
“He told me his sleep schedule, which I’m like, ‘That’s f*cked.’ Drake is like, ‘Yo, I stay up all night and go to sleep at like 9 a.m. every day. Then I wake up like early afternoon, and I go do regular sh*t… I’m like, ‘That’s what it takes to be number one. That’s some crazy sh*t’,” DJ Akademiks noted.
In the wake of this revelation, netizens are having diverse reactions in the comment section of @ArtOfDialogue_’s post on X, sharing the podcast clip. Most of them mocked Akademiks for not realizing that he was in Drizzy's bad books and for overlooking the rapper's constant hits at him.
“Is he not embarrassed?” a person wrote.
"Man have some shame Drake is using him he still don't get it," another person wrote.
"Being happy to know another man's sleep schedule is insane," an X user wrote.
"This man love him some Drake," one person wrote.
"Why does he know this? Ak really one of his best friends now lol," another person wrote.
"The fact dude doesn't understand he's being used is sad," a netizen wrote.

Drake called DJ Akademiks to make him apologize to SZA
During his recent conversation with Happy Dad Hard Seltzer and Nelk Boys on the Full Send podcast, DJ Akademiks shared how during one of his first communications with Drake, he learned about the rapper’s “f*cked” sleep schedule.
He noted that the key to the Far Gone rapper’s success was sleeping during the day and staying up all night. Lil AK recalled “arguing” with the Canadian musician, who reportedly asked him to stop posting about him.
The Off the Record host also explained that he got to know about the bizarre sleep schedule during an early morning telephone conversation and claimed that the rapper called him up to convince him to apologize to singer-songwriter SZA for dissing her on his Rumble stream.
Reportedly, DJ Akademiks threw jabs at the Ctrl hitmaker’s hairline, fat-shamed her, and called her a “fat mini Lizzo” in early 2023. Lil AK further noted that Drake was trying to collaborate with SZA for his For All The Dog studio album and was trying to make amends.
“He essentially called me, saying, ‘Yo, I’m trying to cut these songs with this girl and she’s visibly upset—some of the stuff you’ve said really bothers her. She’s not one of those people who’s built for that type of stuff. She’s an emotional, very precious girl.’”
The Everyday Struggle co-host further continued by saying how Drizzy asked him to “let her [SZA] know” that his remarks were “not that serious,” so that she was no longer affected by his energy for her.
The Jamaican native acknowledged that he didn’t realize that his remarks would “upset” SZA so much and eventually apologized, as he also did not want to hurt the Kill Bill songstress or hold up Drake’s album any longer.
Recently, since his beef with K-Dot, Drizzy has been complaining about sleep disruption. He claimed that news station helicopters flew over his Toronto residence and even took to his Instagram Story to write, “Anytime after 3 pm works great for me.”
Not only that, but earlier this year, he also shared a nighttime vlog on his social media, inspired by lifestyle influencer Drew Walls.
